Bernard is a full fledged Brazilian Intl who has silky skills. Only reservation on him is whether he can adapt to the physical side of EPL. Zouma is a proper defender which seems to go out of fashion in these days of ball playing CBs which is the preferred choice. No nonsense which I being old school personally prefer. Gomes lost his way at Barca n as for Mina, before the WC I didn’t know who he was but he looked impressive for Colombia in Russia.

Spring Moderator August 13, 2018 Share August 13, 2018 tottemham didnt spend? wow taking the riskThink a combination of factors caused them not to spend. Firstly, their stadium costs went up considerably due to the falling £ Secondly, the hyper inflated transfer market where goalies were being traded for £60-70mil meant the value conscious Daniel Levy found it hard to swallow. Villa wanted £30mil+ for Jack Grealish but Spurs only went as high as £25mil n just refused to top up another £5mil to get an England U21 International as Levy was confident Villa would buckle but they were taken over by Egyptian investors eventually who promptly resisted selling. Thirdly, having secured Harry Kane, Son HM on huge wages n negotiating with Christian Eriksen, they had to budget for increase wages amongst their playing staff as Spurs were well behind the other top 6 clubs wages wise.

Othello Supersonic August 13, 2018 Share August 13, 2018 Spurs is like A.Mad. Solid and compact with great teamwork. However, they can't seem to find a breakthrough. With zero improvements, I'm afraid its very tough (almost impossible) to win the league. Maintaining top 4 is very good liao.

Spring Moderator August 13, 2018 Share August 13, 2018 Barca still after Pogba it seems n though Man United can resist them, I wonder whether it’s worth keeping an unhappy player? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6054225/Barcelona-chief-wont-rule-Manchester-United-star-Paul-Pogba.html Same goes for Chelsea with Hazard with Real reportedly still interested in him. The earlier closing of the EPL transfer window has backfired if u ask me cos potential for other European clubs to try signing EPL players whose clubs will have no recourse for getting in replacements. On a separate note, player power n freedom of contract has made it tricky for clubs keeping players near their contract end which happened to Chelsea with Courtois, Arsenal with Sanchez, Liverpool with Can, Spurs with Alderweireld etc. U sell for lower prices n even free as in the case of Can. So a case of keep n you’re potentially damn, sell n you’re damn as well esp star players who r game changers like Hazard. So good reminder for us fans who on hindsight blame our clubs for “mishandling” the tfr, why didn’t sign the player up earlier etc. Easier said than done as players really can hold their club to ransom
Jnageb18 1st Gear August 14, 2018 Share August 14, 2018 they didn's sell as well this is the better option than sell 10 players and buy 10 new yea thats true Plus most of their stars are young players, they are still improving and will have better chemistry. am excited to see how they fare.

Just get rid of the unhappy manager. The secret about Klopp is he makes all players play better. Not only young players but old pros like James Milner at 32. Jose fights with all his players and make them play worse. Pogba, Martial, Luke Shaw he likes to criticise them in public and that humiliates and demoralizes them. As a rival fan I hope Jose will never be sacked and go on to manage Utd for as long as possible but the best thing would be to keep Pogba and get rid of Jose.
Jamesc Hypersonic August 14, 2018 Share August 14, 2018 Everton fans called for the sacking of Fat Sam because he plays Park the bus football and Everton fans want to see attacking football. Man U is famous for attacking football but do their fans dare voice out their dissatisfaction for boring football even if it means they win games? Everton were in the relegation zone and Fat Sam parking the bus won a lot of points for them and if not for him they would have been relegated but the fans were brave enough to say no to winning by playing ugly football. I respect the school of science fans. ↡ Advertisement
