Hi, how long a pair of brake pad last?

How much a pair cost?

Kia now has svc deal which inclusive 2 pairs of brake pads. Must use within 5 years.

My layman experience feels that brake pads change is once per car life time of 10 years (sgp context). Usually must pay for brake oil.

It's based on mileage... anyone with the previous model's owner's handbook can advise our bro? The lifespan doesn't change from model to model... 2 pairs means what? Front and back together considered as 2 pairs? Anyway brake pads aren't expensive eh... the servicing package is more expensive...

both are same halogen bulbs, just that the stock one is yellow light and if you want white can change to Philips'.

Philips is a more popular and reliable brand for car halogen bulbs. The other one that I have tried before some time ago is Osram. About the same as Philips for performance and reliability.

Previous cars I have also tried those cheap no brand bulbs. If you can, avoid those, they blow faster so even though cheaper to buy but you need to replace more over the long run.

hi, newbie here, i think the tropic might be discussed before, but may i ask again [:p]

im looking for a new car recently due to low coe and only choose among cerato and elantra due budget constraint and space

but im cant decided which should i go for, and i have few question that even the SE cant give me answer.

1. Engine - cerato SE told me is same as elantra engine, elantra SE told me cerato still use old k3 engine, and elantra engine is newer version to have better FC. emm..which one is true

2. Space - some said same , but some said new cerato have better leg room, wider

3. rear suspension system - elantra SE said is dual torsion beam , so rear passenger is more comfortable than cerato

personally, i like interior of cerato especially the infotaiment lcd , elantra abit old design compare to cerato. but price wise, cerato EX = elantra Elite , it may be due to elantra 2019 is coming soon.

im actually quite concern on space and FC because my current car is swift which can get about 13.5km/l if i drive in "uncle way", i wish to upgrade to get a bigger car yet can get better FC .

if u want better FC, u will need to get a japanese car with CVT gearbox. Not the koreans. I warn u first.

I don't know much about how car engines work.

I have been feeding my Altis with 98 since day one as the plan was to keep it for 10 years.

[:)]

lol i fed mine mostly 92 or sometimes 95 only.

I've also tried the cheapest Philips bulbs sold at Autobacs and they also blow every 6 months... those that cost like $40 or $50+ each set... in the end bit the bullet and bought the $80-90+ set (also Philips) and they lasted me until I scrapped the car...

lol i fed mine mostly 92 or sometimes 95 only.

I always used RON92 for my Subaru Impreza cos it was still above the minimum spec in the owner's handbook which stated RON91... For my current Sonata it's 95 cos that's the stated minimum... actually RON92 & 95 not significantly different in terms of price per full tank...

Neutral Newbie

For my 2015 K3, I have been changing the halogen headlights. At first changed to Philips White Vision, then to Crystal Vistion. All DIY. not difficult once you get the first time done.

I have big hands so the most challenging part was to access the bulds in their headlight assembly when uninstalling and installing.

Oh, if you DIY, wear gloves. Get those thin plastic gloves from NTUC will do. The oil on our skin will supposedly damage the headlight coating on the bulbs so never use bare fingers to hold onto the glass part of the bulb.

So during inspection any problem? Or need to change back? How about service in CNC will they say anything? Sorry new here

so which car must only use 98?

Not many in the B&B category. Usually the turbos with higher power output figures ? Golf GTI etc

Think even the usual small VAG turbo engines can run on 95. My friend's A3 can run on 95.

Yes. Front pair & rear pair

Service package also allows C&C to change major parts under warranty. They have the diagnostic equipment.

I remembered when I have by '08 Stream in '14 from KM, they gave me 1 year warranty.

Within the year, they changed 1x radiator fan & a damper. FOC.

My outside mechanic will not have spotted the problem.

I read that legally white-ness can go max 43000k, so keep to that should be fine.

I doubt CnC will care much for bulb change, unless it somehow spoilt something and try to claim warranty...
