Quite strange that the Mazda 3 classic is above 20k OMV when Mazda 6 standard and Mazda cx30 elegance are below 20k ..

Perhaps the features that are on the Mazda 6 can be locally retrofitted here while those on the Mazda 3 (being newer) can't be... Does the CX30 and the 3 have the same safety feature set? That may make the difference...

I drive a CX30 elegance and just for comparison it has blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, auto dimming inner mirror, driver electric seat and climate control, none of which are on the classic Mazda 3. So I find it strange that Mazda 3 has a higher omv. Not sure about the Mazda 6 I didn’t look at the features that the standard trim has.

Could be the cost of the engine on the M3. M3 uses a new engine which has a Mild Hybrid motor.

Ok, that means C&C decide to follow Komoco strategy ... that is a surprise

Not surprising actually. This strategy was used by Borneo Motors as well when they launched their Altis. Standard model fits nicely into the <20k OMV and the Elegance model fits into the >20k OMV range.

Capture the market for the car range which buyers are more price sensitive.

My car is at 40000km, so C&C recommends changing spark plugs, question - should I just change the stock spark plug, or is there any good 3rd party spark plugs that I should change to for better performance?  Any bro can share your experience?

Depends on what type of spark plugs is used. The normal spark plugs (non Iridium type), usually manufacturers will recommend Inspect and replace if necessary at 40k km. Iridium ones typically lasts longer (100k km). My understanding stands corrected.

I refer to the owner's manual... says don't glue to change until 100,000 km or around there...

@teomingern Owner's manual yes. The following link may give you more confirmation that, CnC recommends a change every 40k for spark plugs. They basically follow the non-Iridium

Lubrication, Maintenance & Major Services | Kia Service Catalogue | Kia Singapore | Cycle & Carriage Singapore (cyclecarriage.com)

The recommended replacement intervals by ADs typically also account for difference in driving patterns (and maybe with profit in mind).

Let's not get out of topic since the discussion here is mainly on the new Cerato. :D
