Itâs really down to how much money you want to spend on a car. We went to try the Audi A4 and Stinger. I really liked the Stinger 2.0T but for my family there was no big difference between the Stinger and the Cerato. We did the maths. Including car and all running costs, the Stinger costs 1,000$ more per month, every month, for ten years... weâre just happier putting that money towards more holidays, more activities with the family and maybe a larger home.

I also thinking between Stinger and Cerato.

On power, I think Kia engines lag. I had wanted the stinger2 earlier, I like the interiors, but find the asking price and lag power dont match. And higher fuel consumption than conti. Cerato sx has good features too, would have booked the car if it was sightly cheaper that day. The listed price of 86K and requires trade in(paper value?), $$ insurance and loan, working the sums,is actually high price.

Can I check if I do not have a car to trade in, the price after loan/insurance rebate will be 77999+5000 for EX model based on latest price list?

I am not sure about the promotion recently.

I bought cerato in October. As this is my first car and I do not have car to trade in. My SE was able to help me waive off this trade in rebate citing that I am a first time owner. Hence, the price for ex should be 77999, in this case, if you can get the trade in waiver.

I did not trade a car either but I got the “trade in” discount.

hope this is isolated to LHD markets only.

That’s an old issue on the Theta II diesel engines. The cerato is not sold with those, it only comes with the Gamma (petrol)

C&C pricing is very convoluted, but at the end you can get “trade in” discount without a trade in and they give an additional 2k rebate for the loan to offset the cancellation fee (so you can just cancel the loan straight). The AIA insurance is 100$ more per year than FWD for us, but they have a deductible waiver if you provide camera footage in case of accident, not bad after all.

Which car did you buy finally ?

Plan to book cerato, will see if that $86k can be without trade in. If selling existing car outside $8k more. Their insur. quote was $1.1k more than fwd quote, of course and their loan. So that cerato sx is like $96k for me, thats why some recommended Civic.

Did you booked any Kia already? Cerato will have a quite chio GT version and turbo next year..

I’ve booked an EX and upgraded the order to SX. Still waiting for the car since the order change pushed back the delivery date to end Feb / Early March but I like the sunroof... and that bit of luxury.

The Cerato GT looks like a big upgrade. However, I think they will price it around 110-115k, which will make it close the new Audi A3 for instance. That’s a lot more money than the EX/SX.

Do you know if the leather seats upgrade is factory or locally fitted ? The L with leather and HU upgrade is super good value for money, I don’t think of any car on the current market that can compete with it at 70k

Usually only sx's leather is factory fitted. Ex and L usually are locally fitted.
