Hi, I collected my car 3 weeks ago, I just noticed my windscreen has alot alot of scratches, not too sure when I got it but it is quite irritating especially under sunlight, I can see the lines. Is there anything I can do to reduce the scratches so they don't look so obvious when I drive?

You shd have reported this within 5 days when you collected your car and claimed warranty.

I would also like to know if anyone repaid the loan immediately upon car collection as my se told me that cnc will retract the discount and demand that I pay the $5k discount if i repay early...

Just want to confirm if this is true... Thanks bros!

i believe once the car is delivered, cnc cant interfere with the loan arrangements since its between buyer and the financing company. cnc is mainly the middleman.

Call your SE and ask for help. The car is only 3 weeks old. Should not have fine scratches even if you drew the wipers over a dry and dusty windscreen. Your SE will be able to help you get the workshop to polish off the scratches.

True, can't assume scratches is done by you. Bring your near new cerato to CnC svc centre & let their SA verify. Friendly service.

Cerato ex now at 79k, min 50k 6 years loan + trade in.

Same as in August 18 when COE was $32k

Is it the solar film? If u feel the hairline scratches inside of the windscreen, it is solar film scratch.

Hi guys, i will be collecting my Cerato early aug. Anything to keep a look out during the collection?

Most important is to check for paintwork defects and hairline scratches on the paint, and scratches on the cabin plastics and leather seats.

Once you leave the showroom, you will not be able to claim defects of such nature.

Others are covered under warranty, so no issues even if you don't discover it during car collection.

just use magic pro.

Power Magic Pro is just a box with circuits that lets you preset the cutoff voltages as it monitors your car battery. It does not serve as a power source to the car camera. Moreover, certain models in the market such as iRoad, Thinkware, etc have built-in voltage cutoff function. The Power Magic Pro is just another physical power on/off button for you to turn on/off your camera.

Should go for external battery pack such as Cellink Neo if one needs extra juice to power on the camera after engine cuts off. Keeps the car battery in a healthy state as well.

Cheers.

Your taxing the car battery as it has to keep charging the battery pack... there's no free lunch... your car battery will still die earlier cos you're using it more... that's just simple physics at work...

The battery pack gets the charging from alternator. Not the car battery.

A sufficient drive will charge the car battery fully and the rest goes to waste. With a battery pack installed properly, both your car battery and battery pack will get charged up.

so we should wire a battery pack direct to the alternator cause if the wire runs from battery pack - car battery - alternator then it will still wear the car battery right?

The installer will know how to wire it unless you are using the 12V cigarette socket.

Normally it will be wired to a fuse (with the correct rating according to the type of battery pack) that only has power when ignition is on. Power to charge the battery pack will be cut off when ignition is switched off.

The car battery serves as a battery source for the starter motor to crank the engine when you normally start the car. Thereafter, the alternator takes over the supplying of electricity it produces. That is why you are able to disconnect and remove the car battery when engine is running.

Under normal circumstances when engine is started and running (usually above 2k rpm when you accelerate), the alternator produces enough current to charge your car battery and will also charge up the battery pack. This is part of the reason why you see people throttling the accelerator to charge up the car battery, when they leave the car without driving for some period (e.g. gone for holiday or something).

Hope this clarifies your doubts.
