For my Carens SX, I was given the locally fitted Sony media receiver (warning no more CD player included) which is worth $2k according to C n C price list.  Ok, so I think one can get it for ard 60% of the price outside, but still, it's a good HU to have. Sound quality should be better than stock HU sound, and it allows rev cam display to be ported over. 

 

Only downside is that being a local fitted unit, it doesn't look integrated with the dash...but the bezel doesn't look to intrusive. 

 

I was also given the Rikecool 28 and the Thinkware F50 cam. 

 

Actually the so called better grade solar film does not really feel any different for most people.  If I am not wrong, sunroof comes with original solar film fitted in factory so no point adding another layer on it.  For DVR, they gave Blackvue 590 2ch (without wifi, without parking record) now.  Try ask for Thinkware F770 instead.  For SX trim should be no problem one.  Floor mats are given by default by some SEs even if you don't ask.

Just to share with fellow new owner.

 

I just scratched our car bonnet by lifting up the wiper. I normally lift up the wiper while washing my car and I do it just by manually pulling the wiper away (I think you all get what I mean). But when I tried to pull the wiper on my new cerato up, I felt that it was stuck and I pulled it harder...next thing I know is that my bonnet has a thin scratch  .

Oh,  , hahahahahahha.

 

When I read through the manual, I realised that I supposed to put the wiper into up position (by pressing the wiper stick inside) and manually pull it away from the windscreen. Suddenly I felt like an imbecile....LOL

 

Hopefully nobody did the same thing as me...

 

PS: I asked KIA to touch it up while doing servicing

I am looking for a the R series Sensenich 2 blade prop, I have the I beam Sensenich and it seems to be to much prop, I have the 290 HP Crate engine it does pretty good but Sensenich guys say the R series 2 blade will do awesome

 

By the way, I found used 1993 Ford F150 and thanks Vinchain http://vinchain.io/ vin blockchain review service, I distinguished that this vehicle is with all over damage. Hope someone finds them useful, they are better than other vin number check repositories in my opinion.

for those who were given blackvue car cam did you tried to ask for thinkware? i think because mine only EX so SE said he’s unable to do so. advisable to top up to change to thinkware?

I booked SX last weekend and SE gave Blackvue camera, Solar film and $2000 service credit.

Strictly no upgrade of camera and Solar film. That's it.

pretty standard stuff like solar film, 2k service credit, floor mat and the blackvue 2 channel car cam. SE told me will throw in sun shade if it’s available

ya seems like same thing for me. i asked if can top up to get the thinkware SE said will check. just wondering if it’s worth to change to the thinkware one

$2000 svc credit is a given as part of the purchase My Carens also came with that. That is not considered a freebie from SE.

Kia SE told me cerato ex with 2k interest rebate/5k trade in discount is 76999 with 50k loan over 6/7 years minimum.

 

Any catch?

It states at SGCM that C&C is having a promotion of $2K service credits, $2K of interest rebate and $2K used car bonus.

 

With regular selling price at $78,999 for the EX, you should be able to get it at $76,999 if you don't have a car to sell to them., or $74,999 if you do. And maybe can bargain some more?

Did anyone here change the Head Unit or attached amplifiers, subwoofers to the stock Head Unit? 

 

I am into music and the ability to upgrade the car audio is certainly an important consideration for me.
