it seems to me like a bad move to get as much people on board, with as few trains possible.

lower frequency. lower costs. Commuters' journey gets longer, that's all.

after all, commuters don't matter. What matters is increase shareholder value.

I find this is what SMRT target is, they always like to get as many people on board, thats why interval for their train always long, even during peak hours. They cannot accept to have shorter interval and train is not sardine packed.

Btw Tanah Merah and Changi Airport, passengers frequency is low.

Of course long intervals.

I will not sacrifice my own comfort even company not going to reimburse me.

It's all about money.

That's why better to depend yourself rather than taking nonsense from others.

If everyone thinks like you, our road will be like KL, Jakarta or BKK.

Spent a day on the road in KL and give me your feedback.

Because modern cities are badly planned.

Clustering everything in one place, overpopulation, etc.

I am not even talking about KL City Center.

More than once, I had send northbound ELITE highway jam until standstill during evening. ELITE highway is 4 lane/direction highway.

The jam is as long as 20km.

And the curse continues... Yesterday new CEO and KBW on news, today train fault and suspected fire emergency at MRT station. [rolleyes]

Power fault delays commute on East-West Line during peak hour

SINGAPORE: A train delay on the East-West Line on Tuesday (Aug 14) was caused by a "power fault", SMRT said.

In a tweet at 7.08pm, the train operator advised commuters to expect 20 minutes' additional travel time between Queenstown and Tuas Link.

Free regular bus services were available between Lakeside and Tuas Link stations, it added.

At 7.19pm, SMRT updated that the train services were progressively being restored as the power fault had cleared.

Additional travel time of 10 minutes between Queenstown and Tuas Link was still expected, it said in the update.

Around the same time, commuters at Boon Lay station reported hearing the fire alarm go off and seeing the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) at the scene.

Train breakdown will affect a lot of people commuting. So be don't be selfish to curse train breakdown and etc.

New ceo and KBW appeared to boost how reliable the train now is, and today train delay during the peak hours as usual.  [shakehead]

The funny thing is the train I boarded around 7:45pm tonight at Tanjong Pagar was half empty and at Jurong East interchange, no crowd at the platform. Trip home was smooth like baby's bottom. . . All staff on the ball with this new guy at the helm?
