Change in SMRT CEO (Apr 2018), Management & Other Matters

To be fair, DK took over a rotten company from Saw (with practically zero maintenance regime in place), and following many corrective actions and upgrading (with heavy financial support from Government), things started to stabilize (not improve hor) in the last 2 years.

Now that most of the replacement and upgrades have been completed, this Neo took over and started saying 风凉话...

I am not say who is / was good, but situation was different during the time when DK & Neo took over SMRT, so to say that there is no problem in the company, 话还是不要说得太绝...

风水会轮流转的。。。

Spend 6 years to stablise only applies to ex civil servants.

In corporate world, there is no such things as 三年又三年。

In the 1st place, Saw was hired to increase retail revenue.

When you start to see light at the end of the tunnel, don't be immediately happy.

It could be the headlamps of an approaching train.

Agree, 6 years was a long time for situation to be turned around, and only ex-civil servants have that kind of privilege. But my earlier post was meant to compare the differences in company situation when DK and Neo took over the CEO role.

Neo simply "kio tio gu lan" as some would say...

Its a train it runs on tracks.

Its not the first subway in the world.

They have been running subways for over a hundred years.

Many cities around the world run subways.

How hard can it be to get it running properly?

They are so many cities with subways.

Whatever is not working just replace it with parts that works.

If subways were so hard to operate, subways from around the world

would be breaking down every day.

This are just trains right? This isn't rocket science.

If it is headed by an Army General, just imagine trains are 3-tonners running on railway track.

Not difficult at all.

What if my company has deep seated cultural issues.

He can help solve or not?

:D

Actually I have once staff complain and he is very unhappy.

I wonder if I should contact them if they can help.

This is funny as hell ... in light of what happened [laugh] Don't know about the other 2 dudes, but DK certainly has the experience and lived to tell the tale. To be fair, he was handed a bad hand of cards and just have to play it as well as he could. Didn't end up too bad for him, but can't say the same about public transport commuters.

Of all things why management / leadership consultancy? With their military backgrounds, starting a private security company is more credible [laugh] Make sure your condo / building is very safe and protected.
