Using essential oil ........ something natural

Great advice!

I will only use high quality essential oil in the car as some car fragrances may be carcinogenic. I also use pandan leaves or charcoal sometimes.

Recently found this ceramic container at the Esso kiosk, very convenient to use for essential oil. They look something like this:

I've not used car fresheners for some years.

Now I use a packet of activated scent-free charcoal and a box of baking soda (those that is used in fridges)

Am considering to use coffee beans in a sachet as well.

And ya, pandan leaves doesn't repel cockroaches. I used to have a bunch that I left under my car seat for a few months. When I took it out to throw, a WHOLE LOT of small cockroaches were inside and it's a bloody nest. Farking disgusting. I stopped using pandan leaves since.

Carbon or charcoal is good because it will absorb any harmful substance or odours.

Personally I do not like pandan leaves because they will disintegrate after some time and leave a mess. But my wife is the pandan leave expert. The leaves will only repel cockroaches for a few week while the leaves are still fresh, once it is dried up it is a source of food for cockroaches.

If you have a discipline to replace the pandan leaves frequently, it is also a nice alternative.
