I just hope authorities can provide some numbers to show how many vehicles on our road daily are registered here and subject to such tests against foreign vehicles that do not need to go through the tests. Have they actually done study to find out if they emits more pollution than our brand new cars?

Actually ECU Tuniing or Reflash will make Engine run Leaner...no issue.

For newer car starting in 2014, most of them are able to keep 2000RPM to 2200 RPM at cruising speed of 90. In a way, this test is wasting our petrol. Where do they get the figure of 2500RPM?

 

As for the price hike of 10%, they can actually reduce it to lesser. It's no doubt that inspection centre need to recover the cost of installing new equipments needed for the additional test but they can spread out the cost of ROI to a longer period. But of course, business is business, it make logical sense for them to have a shorter ROI.
