Mkl22 Supersonic March 30, 2018 Share March 30, 2018 (edited) For modern TC engine, it has high torque at low RPM. The equivalent size NA will depends on whether you want HP or torque. For example, Toyota Crown Athlete 2L TC produced 235hp & 350NM of torque. 2.5 V6 that produced 203hp will more or less match 2L TC hp. To matach 350NM torque, 3.5 V6 is required. No use quoting peak figures. You need to know the shape of the hp and torque. You drive at 6000rpm everyday? inlinesix Hypersonic March 30, 2018 Share March 30, 2018 No use quoting peak figures. You need to know the shape of the hp and torque. You drive at 6000rpm everyday? That's why TC is the best. 350NM torque from 20km/h.
Lala81 Hypersonic March 30, 2018 Share March 30, 2018 again no TC, really don't understand why Japanese make so difficult to equip TC to their car, same here Subaru Forester also discontinued its TC engine in next Generation it's not what the consumers in USA want. The 2.5L NA forester outsold the FXT by a large margin. Have to say this Rav4 the front really looks the Tacoma pickup. Maybe a tad too masculine.

DACH Supersonic May 7, 2018 Author Share May 7, 2018 If bring in here, think can sell well. Toyota Spending Over $1 Billion To Build More RAV4shttps://carbuzz.com/news/toyota-spending-over-1-billion-to-build-more-rav4s Although the fifth generation Toyota RAV4 just had its official debut at the New York Auto Show, the automaker is already gearing up for it to be a massive sales success. Automotive News reports that Toyota is planning to spend $1.1 billion USD in order to upgrade two of its three Ontario, Canada production facilities where the RAV4 is built. Obviously thrilled to keep RAV4 production in Canada, the Canadian and Ontario governments are each chipping in $85.6 million to help with those upgrades. The facilities require updates specifically for the new RAV4 hybrid as well as additional research and development in Ontario. According to the report, these upgrades will include new automation technology in the paint and plastics departments. Adding a cherry on top of the ice cream sundae is that this investment will preserve some 8,000 jobs while creating another 450 along with 1,000 co-op placements. Furthermore, Toyota’s investment will keep business going strong at the 60-plus Canadian-based suppliers. Canadian Toyota RAV4 production isn’t anything, having taken place in the Great White North since 2008. Toyota also has plans to build RAV4s at a second Ontario plant that currently handles Corolla production, but that will soon be transferred to the recently announced Toyota-Mazda joint venture production facility being built in Alabama. Not only is the RAV4 a strong-seller in the US, but in Canada as well where it’s Toyota’s best-selling vehicle. More than 50,000 units were sold last year in Canada, and that figure is expected to increase with the redesigned 2019 RAV4.

pbswiss 1st Gear August 26, 2018 Share August 26, 2018 Would the hybrid version be more of a maintenance hassle? Online information states that the 2.5L hybrid will be the most powerful drivetrain. I'm keen on hybrids for my next ride but not sure if they become difficult to maintain after 3-5 years.
