That was many years ago 3.0 litre model....the new one is very different like Lexus, big, spacious, comfortable, 8 speed turbo, fully MIJ. BM not bringing in....sigh.....

Majesta only got 2.5 & 3.5 V6

 

Athlete got hybrid & 2L turbo on top of what's available for Majesta.

 

I remember BM brought in Majesta up to last year.

Drove a nano before in Ahmedabad.. Pretty much similar feel as the Chery QQ.

for slow traffic and some places, this may be a good deal. Can compare to motorbikes. Still safer.

Talking about ASEAN model, this one is my top pick. Took a ride in the previous generation Pajero Sport (aka Montero Sport in some countries) while I am in East Malaysia 2 years back, am very impressed by the ride comfort it offer (even into plantation), feel almost nothing like a pickup / truck (it is using a pickup platform fyi). And the diesel variant seems to provide unlimited torque, allowing it to move up steep slope as if it is travelling on leveled ground.

I saw this in Jakarta last year. Very very handsome in my eyes.

 

It is based on L200 platform. Same case for Fortuner which is based on Hilux platform.

 

The ladder chassis guarantees high ground clearance.

For me I wish we can get all the compact hot/warm hatches in the world. Sadly in the world of high COE with 130bhp capping. Small and powerful hatches makes no sense:

Hmm, just some slight correction. We are talking about the Crowns that made their way to Singapore.

 

The Crown Majesta is the most luxurious and the top version of the Crown, usually equipped with a V8. The Crown Royal Saloon is the normal one we see most often. The Crown Athlete is the more sporting version of the Crown with a more elaborate grille.

 

12th Model - Code S180 (2003 - 2008)

BM - Royal Saloon 3L V6

PI - Majesta 4.3L V8, Royal Saloon 3L V6, Athlete 2.5L V6

 

13th Model - Code S200 (2008 - 2012)
