Anybody experience problems engaging gear for Fiat Punto?

Recently got a Fiat and sometimes the gear cannot be engaged for unknown reasons. Anybody else facing this same problem?

A common problem with FIAT manual cars ... even since the 70's! Owned one, been there, done that.

 

Predominantly on engaging 1st gear (from neutral / stationary).

 

Synchromesh worn liao. And quite easily too

 

You get what you had paid for in a FIAT.

Even manual gear is no bomb proof.
