therock Supersonic February 22, 2018 Share February 22, 2018 (edited) So who has not been to Oz and in particular Sydney? Blue mountains? Harbor bridge? Koalas? I think most of us have seen them all .. How about a chill vacation where one simply sits back, and have more caffeine in five days than one does in a month? Try some of the nicest food and simply kick back and absorb the atmosphere whilst not doing too much? Let me show you a few places to eat, drink some java and do something different ... First, what's Sydney without Pho? It's as ubiquitous as chicken rice in SG... with so many migrants from Vietnam over the years, it's no surprise that they do a good pho soup. Add good quality Aussie beef and you have a marvellous combination. serenade 6th Gear February 23, 2018 Share February 23, 2018 Try this quaint restaurant at the entrance to Sydney Harbour. It is an institution. Western style seafood http://www.doyles.com.au/12199+0+doyles-on-the-beach.htm If you have time, go to North Sydney as far north as Barrenjoey Lighthouse. A relaxed place to look at the incoming surf. On way back to CBD, stop by Bayview Anchorage Marina. The Thai restaurant serves good Thai, and the view from restaurant is beautiful. If possible, be a passenger on the drive there and back. Then you get to see the lovely views all along the trip. If you are the driver, your eyes will have to be on the winding road the whole time.

Pie Face http://www.baratako.com/pie-face-make-point-try/ my experience with pie Face not that good ... bought the small ones ... not much filling ... should have gone for the big pies instead. anyway, i would prefer to go down to Coles and get myself a pack of 5 frozen minced beef pies for AUD$5 ... then bake it in the oven for a more filling meal ! Pho in sydney very nice. Had one in the darling harbour, Very nice i had pho twice in MEL ... one was at the Harbour Town ... the other was a restaurant in the city .... where they had pics of actors eating in the restaurant.

Plenty to explore around here. Australia is so multi cultural. my cousin is planning a drive up from MEL to Adelaide in the middle of the year ... dunno will be able to join him or not ... and both times when we were in Aus, we stayed in AirBnB and bought food from supermarts and cooked for ourselves very much cheaper and according to our liking. but i did not come across $6 food .... even the CCP in a shopping center was also $16 !!
