I am not sure if I should put downpayment for Elantra. Not sure what will be the upcoming COE price. 

Does anyone know, when you buy a new car, is the carmaker obliged to give you an In-vehicle Unit (IU) ?

Or they don't necessarily give one?

COE CAT A closed at about $30K today.

Brand X car seller won the bid at $33K.

 

Does the brand X car seller pay $30K or $33K to gov for the secured won COE?

If paid $33K to gov, does the car buyer needs to pay $3K to brand X car seller?

 

Can anyone help to clarify this?

I have the answer now. Brand X car seller will only need to pay the $30K COE to LTA. Thus, the car buyer doesn't need to pay anything extra to the Brand X car seller for the secured COE.

I’ve looked through dozens of Forums regarding automotive sun shades. Which one will fit best? How effective are they? How can I keep one from falling in the middle of the day? There never seems to be a good answer. For a good fit you either pay a pretty penny or you sacrifice the aesthetic pleasure of the car. Why shouldn’t it come from the dashboard and fit custom to a car. Windows have gotten easier to raise and lower over the years, why not the sun shade?

Dear Sifus,

 

I am new here. I have a problem with my Vezel (bought in 2017, petrol, normally pump ESSO 5000) and need some kind advice/pointers.

In early September, a group of warning lights on my Vezel's dashboard lighted up persistently when my car was started. I sent it to the workshop on 3 September to have it fixed. The mechanic told me the combustion chamber was dirty (full of carbon) and he fixed it by cleaner it up. Damage was $120. The car was fine until today, the same group of warning lights started lighting up again. Sianz...

 

Anyone have had this problem? Can give me some advice to fix this?
