Looks like KMC secured COE for everyone this round :)

Even after about $4k increased on Cat A, the coe still consider low if you compared 1 year ago. Lol. Surely kmc should able to secured coe for most buyers.

Anyone secure their COE from Borneo Motors?

Yes. From what I know, all who booked BM cars in this recent round got their coe today, regardless of whether they went for guaranteed or non-guaranteed price. By the way, if anyone thinking of getting a BM car, don't bother paying the extra few thousand for the guaranteed coe. Most of the time, non-guaranteed will also get.

Those who purchased sienta elegance still not yet get their COE. This is because shipment arrived in march and April. BM not yet bid for them.

Really? I booked a sienta standard. Shipment only due in March but I got the coe today.

I think this applies to all AD, not just BM.

I have so far only bought from BM so don't know about other AD. But thanks for the info. Good to hear that.

I think ADs have been trying to bid and secure as much COEs as possible for current and subsequent orders.

Even as some stocks may not be available yet as of now due to VES.

KMC goes aggressively this time round. Will it be clearing stock?

AD also worry about what pattern ah gong will chut on 19/Feb ma

hence, better chop chop curry pop secure COE first even car has not arrive

all signs are pointed to higher tax simi sai that is related to CAR ... [laugh]

car is the biggest sin tax ... you want car means you must pay

Looking at the signs, don't think it's about the unknown tax yet.

Probably is due to the smaller CAT A quota, so ADs try to get more as much as they can. Not so for CAT B and E.

If car higher tax, wouldn't that mean lower coe?

which means good to hedge on a good old time fav near COE car and buy and do a bit of project on the car and extend COE.

Not exactly, C&C bidded $36K to $38K for their Cat A buyers. Many did not secure COE yesterday.

Wow don't take loan means never need to pay well done lol

I believe many had that conclusion that depreciation equals to what you pay, not in the sense of what is the accounting term.

So hence, yes, dont take loan, dont need to pay because already paid.

Probably, there should be a thread on how to look at cost of cars and the price of owning a car , rather then buy what car and how to afford a car on loan.

AD new cars order must be weak and indent must be low due to VES which probably need them to recalculate their profit and the unsure buyer response to the changes. They need to find a balance.

As wat some said, COE closely link to stock mkt, coming bidding might slide downwards. If introducing more tax varible means more accounting and more paper works, car cost could be still uncertain in the next few months.

Sienta (88.8K), Elantra S (79.9K) booked this 3 weeks all got, it means 1 thing - there is no backlog.

Cat B after the previous big drop, no rebound this round,  it means 1 thing - there is no backlog.

I don't know how to see. The numbers of bidders is nearly doubled to those who gotten the COE this time round. Those who bided but did not get their COE also means no back log. Ghost bidders ?
