Out of all the non-engine vehicle parts, the brake system is the most vital component to keep in check. Most owners know to change their brake pads regularly, but brake disc rotors also need to be paid attention to as brake pads only work when it grips onto the disc rotor to slow the wheels down.

This BMW customer’s brake disk rotor and brake pads were worn out. Here, we’re inspecting and replacing them to put the vehicle back at 100% performance.

Signs to look out for when your brake system needs maintenance:

Brake discs are unevenly worn, cracked, or badly scored (looks like “vinyl record” with grooves)

Squealing or squeaking when braking

Rattling, wobbling, or shaking while braking.

Prevention is better than cure Failing to replace your brake pads when they are worn down will lead to your brake disc rotor being worn out as well. Bring your vehicle in for servicing at Lee Sheng Auto before total brake failure occurs. Safe driving!

Drive shafts are constantly moving at very fast paces to keep up with your vehicle’s speed. They need to remain balanced and weighted evenly to do this properly. If you feel:

1. Vibrations, especially at the steering wheel
2. Clunking noises when accelerating
3. Squeaky noises from underneath the vehicle
4. Heavy resistance from wheels from turning

The engine mount holds the engine in your car. The most common problem that we see is when the rubber part breaks/separates or when the mount leaks

Engine Mounting holds the engine to the car body and cushioned the vibration of the engine. A good engine mounting is necessary for a comfortable ride. When the rubber portion of the engine mounting break apart it no longer cushioned the vibration of the engine vibration.

You will experience excess vibration of the car at idle and increasing engine rattling noise .This is especially so when you engage transmission at idle . Most car works on 4 engine mounting , namely the left mounting , right mounting , front & gear box mounting . Any one of it cracked will affect your otherwise smooth and comfortable ride.
