Come and spread fear only la.

Hopefully I will bring a bit of calm.

Historically, those years that COEs peak to near $100k are never election years. Since the next election could be in 2019, we are likely to see COE in the downward direction.

Currently, there are 620k cars (incl PHV). It's a long way to go down to 550k especially ppl starts to extend COE.

Be prepared for -0.25% growth in 2019

Our government (nevermind PAP or WP or what) are often misunderstood.

The problem: dense population, how to grow the city and let population travel efficiently? Time lost to jams hurts the economy, productivity. This explains COE

Go China & India city, the air very romantic, foggy foggy b’cos of emissions. To be world class city, sustainable growth, health of citizens..... it explains VES.

If we want to blame govt “choot” pattern, please give a solution to the problem. Can we stop blaming the govt when we cannot see and foresee the problem in totality.

For continued prosperity, employment for citizens, good salary, we attract top notch MNCs to open regional office here. And allow MNCs to employ talent from all over the world into our city. If our city is polluted, expat don’t want to come, lack talent, MNC also don’t want to come. The problem is not as simple as govt “choot” pattern. Many issues are considered and polices are holistic to solve and maintain Singapore competitiveness.

Govt is doing an excellent job, may not be perfect. Give suggestions. Citizens and Govt should work together To overcome challenges.

Don’t reply on politics or your frustration on the govt here.

We trying to get an intuitive feel of where car prices are heading.

Coming one is 10yrs loan la. U c la after Singapore budget in Feb.

If really one day most singaporeans don't buy car, u see our government chu what pattern. They only wayang la

Now almost all carparks are wired up with ERP, few years down the road, parking fee will confirm surge, excuses such as to high maintenance, system/machine up grade, high operating cost.

They may be also thinking very hard how to fill up all the empty lots, my guess is new weekend cars policy, green plates?

Even school carpark not spared.

In the good old days, many lots are occupied by red plates car.

Then stop increasing the population because the country is already overpopulated.

And provide more incentives for buyers buying green cars.

COE prices are determined by government policies, you do not need our intuitive feel, just go LTA website.

Increase in population does not necessarily needs to increase number of cars.

Since Singapore is petroleum hub of S.E.A., why should govt support green cars?

People have their own needs. If they cannot provide the basic independent needs of the people and do not have enough resources to meet the needs, then what's the point of adding more people and giving more problems? Situation is dealing with people, not robots and numbers.

When one income goes down, another will go up.

Prepare for GST increase for the broader population.

Where got green? Hybrid kena surcharge is green? They only wan more tax money.
