Actually are leather seats a must?

People who buy cars in the 70s and 80s don't really buy cars with leather seats.

Don’t mind me, but personally I’d rather have it leather. It’s easier to clean than fabric, especially if you spill liquid.

Of course, there’s probably a varying school of thoughts on this.

Actually just a curious question for everyone.

How much has fabric technology advanced for the past years? Given how much we neglected it after concentrating on leather for so long.

Is there fabric water proofing advances and stuff like that going on in fabric advances?

I guess there are chemicals that can make fabric water resistance, I saw a spray that does that. While I do not know the price, considering that I have to purchase the solution and spray it on every so often, I think it’s not any cheaper than paying for a leather ones up front.

Personally, I felt leather is more comfortable and “classy”. Psychologically, I also feel that leather seats are cleaner and more hygienic compared to its fabric counterparts.

Nah. Try using white leather next time and see if they are indeed cleaner.

Color is a different thing already la.

White leather, white fabric all will get dirty easily.

Should have just nationalized it.

It was suggested but is done at a half hearted effort.

Why would govt want to forgo its income without others contributing?

Not really cleaner ba, but easier to mask dirt easily, like the black kiwi from your leather shoes, etc. Easier to mask off these kind of dirt with darker colors. But for fine dust and sand, you can see it more easily on dark leather and fabric.

Public listed without much competition does not really improve efficiency especially these GLCs often get a free-pass after messing up.
