Hi, I am interested in getting a hybrid sensing Honda freed from edmund motors. I find that the bad points are

- lousy leather seat/ poor arm rest

- battery 5 year wat.

- no USB port on central touch screen console.

I will like to ask if there are workshops that offer services to rectify the above issues.

Btw is the dual clutch system reliable? is the car overall reliability good?

I am considering between freed and Renault grand scenic.

DCT for honda feed should be no issue. As I previously drove Honda Grace Hyrbid for 110k which runs the same transmission as Honda Feed hybrid. The car shift still as smooth as new, car will be quite responsive to throttle. This is as long as change transmission oil at recommended interval based on the manufacture guide.

Lovely car.

Bro, I am just asking for advice. It’s just Edmund motors giving 5 year warrenty for battery and having bad leather interior. I never said that the car was bad. Edited by Gintama

Don't get from them if they provide poor leather.

Dual clutch iz fine. Can pickup fast also. Freed has sensing. Scenic I don't think have.

Scenic has to pay alot more on tax also.

Went to view and see price at a PI. About 99888 now with 3yr warranty. I'm driving old model freed and I compare that internally space wise not much different. The new model with hybrid can get 15 to 18km/l real world driving and depend how heavy your foot is. The highest spec is G model with Honda Sensing. Sensing is their driving assistance like lane departure warning and front collision detection. Also have cruise control.

Big difference for me is the new engine with hybrid and gearbox. my 2010 model no hybrid sucking petrol t 9km to 10km/l. Their 3rd row seat can sit big size guy like me (1.75m, 110 kg ) snugly compare to most other model where 3rd row is only liveable by kids. Downside is with all 3 row seats up, no room for luggage.

Its a good car if you looking for mpv but dont want to look like VIP in vellfire or pay the high cost of 2.4L of full size MPVs. Oh and compared to Sienta, this one more power with full capacity.

Hi guys. I am seriously considering the Freed because of the sliding doors (kids) and economical FC (again kids).

However, I have been trying to find one I can take for a test drive but of course the PIs all don't allow.

Anyone know if I can rent or borrow one for a quick spin?

Also how worried should I be about the hybrid battery and the fact that it's PI only...

I'm not a Freed owner but general rule of thumb is to get from bigger and reputable PI. The battery warranty will mean nothing If they go burst within the first few years of ownership

Just paid for my Freed Hybrid last week and now waiting to collect it next month. Can't wait !!

Bought it from Cars and Coffee cos they offered 5yrs warranty including hybrid battery with unlimited mileage. 5yrs(6 times) servicing as well. But I think that promo is over already.
