chelsea wants andy carroll as they look to solve their scoring problem.

err......mayb they should look elsewhere?...

Andy Carroll will probably be their impact sub, similar to Giroud at Arsenal now. if he wants regular football then he should stay at WHU, especially since he has been missing games through injury.

according to reports, Man city is not going for Sanchez. clear path for Man utd?

apparently, Sanchez's salary requests are way above even when City can prepared to pay. He is machiam already on a free transfer type of mentality... he needs to remember any club still need to pay 25-35M as transfer fees.

The other possible theory is that City is telling him to wait until end of season. just 4 months down the road.  Then they are willing to pay the astronomical salary he is asking for, without incurring any transfer fees.

Utd seems to be the only club at the moment in the running in this window.  They can afford his salary... and desperate enough to be willing to pay - both transfer fees and power salary

Even if impact sub....come on man. Chelsea should aim higher. N impact sub doesnt solve a scoring problem, which is wat they r trying to do.

Andy Carroll is only good in the air.  Togt Morara is already a very good header of the ball. Scores more with his head than his feet.

Doubt Chelsea will eat this carrot.  Jut not sensible in my mind.  Unless Conte is already writing off Morata.. who is having a pretty lean spell.

The latest rumour is that Chelsea is trying to compete for Sanchez. This makes a little more sense but wonder if they can afford his salary demands...

Theo Walcott to Everton for £25mil seems done as some pics circulating of him in a car with Everton officials. He is currently Arsenal’s longest serving player.

their mistake is buying back Looney. Now where will Walcott play ? CF, which he covets so badly ?

Walcott is strange.

Youngest english player to make the WC squad but didn't kick a ball.

Had raw pace but played so few games over the years due to injury, or not good enough.

Wanted to be striker, but hardly played there - even when younger.

Now that he's not far from 30, he finally wants a change to try out. Can he still cut it? Think give him maybe another 2 yr, and his pace will start going downhill, so he better make full use of this opportunity.

Unfortunately for England, he is another one of the many young English prospects that never fully realize their potential.

Some critics say it's cos of EPL many foreigners that deprive young English talent of vital playing time but there is also a saying that if you are good enough, u can get game time over the foreigners so the jury's out on who is right.

Personally, I think there is some relevance to this and of course the biggest loser is the England National Team. Anyway, I wish Walcott well if he does join Everton and he should use this as a last chance to prove his critics wrong!

Maybe Arson don't trust him and won't give him

the responsibility to score goals just like Ox.

Ha ha... yes this is the age old problem for England.

But i am not completely sold on the argument that foreign imports blocks local young players from developing.

In La Liga, they attract a lot of foreign players too, in fact, we all know the problem of when Barca/RM comes calling, nobody can resist... Given that they attract so many of the best/better South Americans and also European players, there has still been a stream of very decent Spanish players coming along, even after the unbeatables that won the Euro 08, WC 10, Euro 12. They took one beating at WC'14, but quickly got back on their feet.

England cannot compare lor...

yah yah...

i wonder how ah seng is feeling now, if Ox keeps improving and turns out to be one of the best English midfielders of his generation...

Spanish players venture overseas more than their English counterparts, think this is a major difference. Besides those at RM and Barca, the other quality Spanish players ply their trades at top EPL, Serie A, Bundesliga clubs and hence they do get quality game time exposure.

Compare this to the English players who are comfortable sitting on the bench, just be a squad member and get a fat salary cos EPL pays well. Professional pride shld have pushed the English players to overseas clubs if they are not playing regularly but this is not happening.

Ox is still relatively young at 25 this year and it is no doubt he'll continue to improve until he hit his peak. Not sure what Wenger was thinking when he sells these players. Gnabry was another talent we let go way too easily. smh

Seems like the Sanchez-Mkhitaryan straight swap is all but confirmed as both Wenger n JM more or less said so n shld be announced within 48hrs. IMO, this transfer suits all parties as Mkhitaryan is obviously not rated by JM, Arsenal get a player who suits their playing philosophy, Sanchez gets his £ n perhaps a better chance of silverware n United get another attacking option esp as Zlatan is injured again.

Dortmund announced that Arsenal has tabled an offer for Aubameyang at £40mil but the Germans holding out for £53mil. I believe a price can be compromised which would suit all parties. Dortmund will be getting a good price for a player which has been giving them some issues recently, Auba gets a change of environment n to play in the EPL for a traditional club like Arsenal would be a step up both financially n in playing standards. Gunners want a big name to replace Sanchez n if Auba settles in quick, his prowess in front of goal will make him a fan favourite for sure.

This could however spell the end of Olivier Giroud who despite his undoubted qualities, has nvr really secured a regular first team spot over the last yr or so.
