If its intended for SAR then its good because can land on water and save many passengers from sinking ship

 

 

And i guess other purpose is to land on SCS

Largest amphibious plane was, and still is, the Hughes H-4 which is nearly 3 times the wingspan of the AG600, even though it only flew for less than a minute.

Actually no big deal la.

Many of the aviation companies can do it. They've had it since ww2.

 

It's not due to technical difficulties, it's a matter of operational need. No one else sees the need for such a plane except China.. so they build lor.

 

It's like making the world's biggest piece of Bak kwa for cny.. it's not a big deal.

Think this type of plane will never fly behind enemy lines or areas. Likely to fly only in safe zones and beyond. Anyway, with the current technology, no matter what size or even not visible to the human eyes but as long as it is pick up by the radar far far away already becomes target. Shooting a target need not be seen by human, seen by the machinery will do leow. You can run but cannot hide.
