as mentioned in my other post, comparing motul 300v 5w30 with shell helix ultra, mobil one fuel eco, motul 8100 eco, Castrol edge titanium, redline signature, amsoil, all of the same weight 30

ranking from best to worst in terms of performance n fuel efficiency from my own experience is

1. motul 300v (best)

2. redline signature

3. amsoil

4. motul 8100eco/ castrol edge titanium

5. mobil one

6. shell (worst)

price wise, 300v is 4x price of shell

so what you pay is wat u get

btw i am not a oil seller or car mechanic and has no affiliation with any of the above brands

For FC,  Shell will certainly be worse - Viscosity at 100°C is 12.2

The rest I would think is closer to 11.

The advantage I find Shell has is PurePlus - their active cleansing technology.

The price point, to me, makes it very suitable to use for regularly cleaning.

Also,  can reverse varnish build up.

Eh... I only car owner.   [laugh]

P.S. For my application,  you may want to remove castrol edge titanium if it is the same one as what was used by one of the AD.  Not very long lasting.

not only shell, castrol and mobil also doesn't give the x factor feel that amsoil signature and motul 300v has

guess what u pay is what u get

any recommendation for stockists that sell motul engine oil?

specifically motul 8100 x-clean efe 5w30

don't need to be the cheapest in town but a trustworthy one (aka not selling questionable/fake oil)

I see a proliferation of sellers. I suspect many are fakes. I was also hesitant to use.  It sure if stockist really know their source also. So many middle man

5w-30 not good in what sense?
I think your B58 needs 0w-20.

Many modern cars have turned to W20. Mine is using W20 as well.

Next time gonna check with AD if they are also using same viscosity EO.
