I read somewhere in this forum that you can actually switch off the FCM by pressing and holding on the FCM button till the off sign come off. Not sure if it is true as I have yet to collect my EC hence no chance to try out yet.

 

I do agree that the EC should come with blind spot detection system. Hopefully we can install the system in the future.

Yes it can be switched off by pressing the FCM button for a few sec but it will be switch back on once the car restart.

Saw 2 ECs on the road today, 1 white (with old plate retained like me) & 1 bronze (SMD) - the most no. I've seen so far on the road in a single day, besides the EC owners' night. Good to see more!

There was 1 day in the last week I saw 3 while driving I think. Getting more popular.

I am seeing average about 1 to 2 per day haha

 

A quick up date on the DVR to set up the parking module with wifi dongle is 240+gst but C & C do not allow installation of the extra battery accosting to Tomo-CSE so they won’t do installation of the extra battery.

 

 

Also anyone encounter that the auto start-stop did not work/turn on during a whole journey? My even turn on was surprised that the whole journey not even once it auto turn of the engine even at the traffic light with the brake full depressed

Hi all , anyone encounter “BRAKE “warning alert while during along Higway w/o any obstruction infront . A bit scary ... I got thrice auto brake activation and my EC jammed just before carpark gantry barrier .

i had the same experience on Sat. I had mine set to middle and was at paya lebar road exiting to PIE Tuas. A little traffic so i go slow and suddenly the break came on and E-BREAK! The car in front of me was like 2-3 meters away and sacred the hell out of me and my wife.

 

I turn it off for the past few days, guess i will need to set it to near to try again.

so i found the FCM system work 50%/50% reliability.

Seemed that the FCM will cause accident one day (other vehicle from behind) instead of prevent the accident... read the forum and seemed that most encountered scary experience... I thought a bro said that the latest firmware from C&C can address this issue? Any idea?

Seems like a lot of ppl having mini heart Attack from the issue.. I have silimiar experience but just the the buzzer and the word brake (haven’t or din brake) but enough to scare you when the road is clear..

 

 

Another annoying thing is the sonar when in a jam and you get close to other cars or the cars besides you stayed a little closer on the traffic light it keeps beeping..

 

And now the auto start stop on my car I Donno due to they way me and my partner drive or bug or something. now it doesn’t cut of the engine even when at a long standstill.

Do you have a car camera installed to work when your car is parked and engine off? If have, it could be the battery level is low so the auto start stop is disabled until it is charged up by the alternator as you drive. Then also better get your battery checked.

Nope haven’t visited TOMO yet.. will take note since will be dropping the car for the 1k/1 month servicing next week.

A lot of conditions control whether the ASG would kick in (e.g. you need to be in D mode, battery needs to be charged, air-con does not need to drive temperature down, etc), so you might want to get more observations first to understand if ASG not activating is due to the other conditions not being met.

1) true about FCM issue. Based on my experience:

When i drive like mad dog the FCM warning kick in easily "BRAKE" warning. And very rare case e-brake activated. 

When i drive casually with safe distance and etc, the FCM warning hardly kick in. 

Hence when i feel to chiong, i will switch off the FCM. 

 

 

2) In heavy traffic like causeway jam i usually switch off the parking sonar.

At least i know its working.

Yes I even turn on and off the auto startstop.. but you are right maybe the air con but I puzzled me as previously during the day when air con is on the auto start stop will still kick in..

Battery drain I not sure what would drain it so fast and I doubt leaving both cable in the usb would cause the car battery to be affected that much.

 

And the car was in Eco mode (which made the car kinda sluggish I felt) but trying to get best mileage out of the car.

 

But I Guess I ask them during the service.

Re Point 2, may I know how u deactivate the parking sensor? Is urs the original factory-fitted infotainment system? If not, how do we off it in the Kenwood System? There are many car settings that can be done in the latter. Thx
