I thought 115k is only if you take their loan and trade in your car with them?

Based on the leaftlet they gave me when i went to the showroom 3 days ago.

List price is $127k. Take loan with them minus 5k. Trade in car with them minus another 7k. So total is 12k of discount, which makes it 115k. Correct?

Ya, but all these are negotiable so I don't really consider them discount.

Anyway,I have just booked without trade in and a lower loan than stated. They need to ask their higher management though, which usually can one lar.

Yup, I just did. At first say cannot but he tried messaging his boss. Anyway, I was prepared to walk away and go order Subaru XV if they refuse to budge.

Hi guys,

I'm very very interested with this EC too. Planning to go for a test drive next weekend.  [bounce2]

I'm wondering why didn't I see a lot of EC driving on the road, I mean such great SUV should have a lot of proud owner on the road right? [confused]

Anyway, it would be great if any of the EC owner here can share more details and the driving joy, and safety feature experience of this car [drivingcar] . Appreciate it! :a-toast:

Thanks guys... cheers  :a-m1212:

So far so good. I've been enjoying the ride. Pick up and cruising is a breeze. Parking is simplified with the 360° camera. The only thing that i thought could have improved the joy of driving was the gearbox. If you're not used to a cvt gearbox like me, it would take some getting used to. FC wise is not bad... I'm averaging at around 12km/l locally. On NS highway travelling within the speed limits averaged at around 14km/l.

Have travelled around 7000km on the car already. No major issues except for once when the FCM decided to engage itself for no reason. Will get that checked out at the 10000km servicing.

At the point of purchase, was rather disappointed by the service provided by C&C though. But beyond that, the car itself is great.

Hope this helps and looking forward to your review of the ride after your test drive.

Nice... Thanks for your sharing! Glad to hear FC wasn't bad at all! [thumbsup] I saw one of the video from youtube, FCM can get quite sensitive and might get triggered with cars parking beside.

Looking forward for next weekend test drive [bounce1] ! Anyone other proud owners [drivingcar] who willing to share their experience would be highly appreciated too!

Thanks guys!   :a-toast:

Hi, some points for your consideration and observation when test drive:

Good

a) Great torque for acceleration and overtaking.

b) The side sills are protected by door fully covered till bottom, hence when the side body is wet or dirty no need worries your leg or pant or skirt (for ladies) getting dirty or wet.

c) The side sills are more toward inner, so getting in and out make easy.

d) 1.5 road tax cheaper than 2.0 or 2.4.

Where you get the torque like 2.4 engine while fuel consumption like 2.0 (almost).

e) The HU supplied is very stable and great for connecting Apple carplay or Android auto.

f) Even it is CVT, the ratio change pattern programmed to mimic normal auto transmission (but not 100%). At least the feel is better than its own outlander and other car brand like Honda notice during test drive.

g) CVT drive instead of DCT. Where DCT dry dual clutch not very suitable for creeping. (minimize my risk)

h) low engine rpm example 100 km/h, ~2000rpm, pedal assume 25% depress.

i) Independent rear suspension. Torsion beam suspension is NO NO in my list when looking for new ride (unless no budget).

No Good

a) I consider High fuel consumption 10~12 km/L, If mostly city even low at ~8km/L

b) If you use cruise control 80~90km/hr,  I find the engine control at ~1800rpm to maintain its optimum torque, and surprisingly this give better fuel consumption versus I drive without cruise control.

c) Sometime depend on your load change, the turbo lag may felt at 1800rpm.

d) Sometime when rpm drop <1200rpm and you sudden need to gain back speed you may felt some jerking. Not sure this is due to the turbo try to spool up again or the torque convertor full lock up engaging at the region.

This happen if you press the pedal slightly, if you press more no such feel. Is like the system hunting for the correct output based on your very litter pedal input. (if you know what I try to say)

e) Small boot space compare to HRV or QQ

f) Body roll more not as good as HRV. This due to higher center of gravity.

g) no blind spot and adaptive cruise.

h) Mit  selected CVT ratio not as good as honda jade/civic, hence the fuel consumption remain higher versus honda.

happy shopping of your new ride...

another important consideration is the new 4B40  engine come with both direct injection and port injection.

Hence the issue of carbon built up due to direct injection is minimize because during port injection mode the fuel will clean up the back of the valve.

to my own comment point

there is someone asked me how it is different.
So i attached below youtube link for comparison when acceleration

I found out how to turn off the Forward Collision Mitigation system without turning off Active Stability Control.

Press and hold the FCM button until the display says "FCM Off".

My FCM triggered 2 days ago while I was on the highway. Thankfully there was no tailgater that day... It's a really scary experience.

I didn't have problems with the FCM in the past month or so, so I didn't check. The SE didn't tell me about the FCM false activation, so that day was the first time I had problems.

I means I thot you already know the method to switch off FCM since collection.

my observation:

the FCM issue is worse if the sun is behind you, shine on the car in front of you,

when this car rear end come with too much reflective chrome this give false signal to FCM.

so if I found there is this situation I will off the FCM. otherwise I just keep it ON.
