if dealer already bid CAT A for you - can still change order to cat B car?

Car not arrive yet...

With money, many things are possible. They will have to dispose of your Cat A COE and use an Open Cat COE to register a Cat B car for you.

30/40% down payment and private hire cutting down on bidding will have a major impact. The zero car growth won't affect much at least for the next 2 years as the number is low and the incoming expirying COE is high. When VES is up, COE will go down to counter it. The comfort level for a car now I think is in the range of 80k to 100k and slowly filtering towards the 80k range soon.

In actual fact, COE is a supply n demand affair. As Long there is no large inflow of foreigners into our country, COE price should be range bound. If our economic transformation fails to bring in our bread n butter, may end up people leaving for greener pastures elsewhere and thus, further collapse in COE is possible. With our population ageing, the demand of cars in the next decade may fall unless new immigrants filled up the gaps.

The most important figure is how many COEs get returned to the bidding system.

PQP is still unchanged or higher in Dec right?

PQP for jan2018 you mean

Some said wait till feb then see the pattern. When coe down..agents most happy since higher profit margin during bidding. At the end of the day its still sort of controlled by agents to some extent I feel. Edited by Andyngps

PQP for jan2018 you mean

Yes, all the PQP is still trending up.

If the COE quota starts to drop prematurely due to early renewals, especially the 5 year renewals, there should be an effect on the COE levels as well, but we can only see when the actual numbers renewed come out.

When they renewed, there is a time lapse before it affects the quota.

Those who renewed early might still be right.

Good things will come to those who wait.. ðð¼ðð¼

All the hype is created by the Car Sellers.. All their so called predictions that the COE price for last bid sure to go up, is just to scare ppl to buying their cars. I'm having the last laugh now..

PQP is really still going up.

My reply was that those who renewed COE a few months earlier might not be wrong. This is because the quota from next year (2018) depends on how many people actually scrap car. If the scrapping does not take place because more renewed or buy old cars to renew, this can change the game almost instantly.

Hi peeps, placed a 10k deposit on my credit card for 6 bid NG for my car. Apparently, they will refund the 10k back into my credit card if they fail to secure the coe. But wouldn't my 10k get stuck in the credit card? Anyone had similar experience?

Just use the same credit cards for the next 10k deposit car down payment. That what I did.

There is only 1 small problem, don't buy car when near the budget day lor.  Garment tends to cause volatility during the period lor....

Some bookings for cars during sept car expo shows will take delivery next yr Jan or Feb. Dealers can't be absorbing the CEVs. All are at the mercy of the car dealers
