Since I started ordering from Shopee, I've ordered more than 20 times.

This item from seller called lovihome did not arrived. Every item so far has arrived, even those from China, and I've received them.

So I received notification from Shopee and I asked for refund, after another 3 days of waiting and extension.

The seller dispute this and Shopee wants me to provide evidence I did not receive this item. Yeah how ? A photo of me checking my mailbox everyday ?

Seller claims to send it by normal singpost mail, with no tracking. Shopee wants you to "Support Local" and this is what I get.

So am I supposed to take the loss for no delivery ?

Shopee guarantees money-back if item not delivered. Let's see how their guarantee works !

Luckily it's just a $5 potential loss, not a $500 one.

At this time, I have half a mind to cancel all my Shopee purchase, and delete my account.

If anyone wants to buy a big and expensive item with Shopee, BEWARE !

I believe problem is with singpost and not the seller, just write it off and maybe one day will appear in your mailbox.

Try a photo of your empty mailbox. Actually most sellers will tell you that they can't guarantee anything if you decide to use normal singpost mail vs registered mail.

I bought this item, there's no selection of what mail.

I should have read the comment one other user also never received.

I don't believe any buyer should just write your money off.

You pay for something and you did not receive it. That's not right.

The local sellers I've encountered on Shopee have been OK. In fact, I managed to cancel a $150 purchase by calling them and the refund is reflected in my CC statement.

But it really depends on the seller. I've never had to deal with Shopee support as such. From your experience, they seem useless.

This is why I prefer dealing with merchants who accept PayPal. Because PayPal provides fantastic buyer protection. A Wish order hasn't come, and it's super easy to lodge a dispute which is then escalated to a claim (I'm putting it in the present tense because I have an ongoing case). If the seller has no satisfactory response, the money is refunded in full to the buyer by PP (item plus shipping costs).

If the item has come and it's not to your satisfaction, it's significantly more difficult because you need to ship it back. Even so, PP is better as under some circumstances, you can request for return shipping to be reimbursed by them. I've been in this situation but because it was only around 20 bucks for the item, I just wrote it off. But it was good to know that PP was willing to help.

VISA provides much less help than PP. The dispute process is full of hassle and prolonged, charges can be involved, and there's no guarantee things will be decided in the buyer's favour.

Always go through Paypal if you can. Support merchants and platforms that accept it.

So far Ali quite OK for me. Almost all shipping are tracked.

Recently one item didn't arrive after 2 months, I got the refund soon enough.

Lazada is probably the worst in my experience. I have a missing item (Lazada system claimed it's delivered) via non-traceable singpost mail. Seller keeping quite. Another previous case I returned 2 items (not fit for purpose) but got only refund for one. They didn't send back the non refunded item too!

Amazingly, my experience with Aliexpress is quite good except maybe a couple of orders. Delivery can be quite slow but they have many products which a lot of other online platform don't.

I have 2 recently orders that came in on the very last day before I can request for refund. Guess what, delivery is by singpost. @#$%^. But generally, the refund process is very fast.

i think singpost is quite ok nowadays.

Lot of the bigger singapore retailers are still going through lazada. I just bought a dell monitor for my father from lazada and delivered yest. The other platforms in singapore, dont even bother to look for such items. Just waste your time only.

I use TB, Ezbuy to get stuff from TB that i can't get shipped over, Shopee/Ali/Qoo10/Lazada.
I'm neutral. I go to whichever one has better reviews or better price.

Oh yes, Stinkpost sucks but even companies like CJ Logistics (which I use for free delivery on large orders from iHerb, California) use Stinkpost as the last-last mile carrier to my house. And the useless local delivery abang has screwed up my package before, forged my signature and put it in the wrong house (I'm very particular about comestibles - things I will eat) then gave me a long face when I complained to the Indian FT sounding fella in the call centre about the service. Don't care. No issues since.

Ya. Sometimes for small items they use SingPost. But sometimes I buy cables from Ali, last mile is still j&t. 🤨

Agree. Once they sent back my parcel to jp after failed delivery and never collect from post office. I blew my top as I received no collection notice or call from them. Told them why the f I put my contact number on the address. They then told me the postman will no longer service my area. Compensation cannot be done by cash and give me stamps instead. Really fkup service.

the ninja Abang serving my area always calls me and take photo when he put my stuff in the riser if no one is in the house. That’s what I call professionalism even though he is protecting his own backside. 😂

I've tons of orders from aliexpress, so far so good, rather good experience, maybe once a blue moon never receive the item, likely due to wrong delivery, wrong address stated etc. I'll will ask for refund and will promptly receive. No question asked, they never request for any evidence or what.

Still got 17 items coming in this CB extension period, the postman will be cursing me. 😁 If the item is available in Shopee generally it will be slightly cheaper, get from Shopee instead

J&T for doorstep delivery, for stinkpost I noticed nowadays for small items registered post (those that can track) from Ali they will dumped in the mailbox. Started about 1 year back or so, but I would prefer this because I got a lot of orders if not will keep receiving knocks on the door. 😁

from the stuff i buy, i think ali still better than shopee. Shopee pricing more deceptive. Ali more obvious from search.

For example the cost of a 3m cable vs the advertised 1m on the search
