DACH Supersonic December 4, 2017 Share December 4, 2017 Haha....it's like getting stuck in a jam n then cursing everyone else for causing it except ownself Ok la, my fault, my fault. Go there must choose time one. But today hor, I go there again, during lunchtime. Took a bus down. I bought more things and wait at shorter queues. One salmon steak, one pack of Japanese fish nuggets, one pack of Japanese fried rice, a pack of fresh scallops, a bottle of Welch graph juice and 4 packs of Umaibo. I just can't resist Japanese food.

BabyBlade Internal Moderator December 5, 2017 Author Share December 5, 2017 Made a trip down to Don Don Donki last night. Around midnight. If you are considering to visit this place, I suggest to do it late night where the store ain't that crowded. Don't expect too much from here. It is a lot smaller than what I imagined it to be. Stuff that I remember: Food 1. First thing that I saw when I stepped in: Nissin Cup Noodles, and other variety of instant food which can be found just about anywhere and everywhere else. Lol. 2. Sushi. My main agenda there was to get sushi back but very few left. Only had mostly salmon ones. 3. Lots of packed beef. Like really a lot. 4. Snacks - Not a wide variety. Whatever that's there you can probably get them off Daiso too. Retail 1. Cosmetics stuff. Brands like Heroine (all your eyeliners, falsies lots of them here). But Heroine is also available at Watson so...... 2. Hello Kitty and other soft toys. Not a lot. But prices are expensive! One small plush toy can set you back by $100+. My first impression - an upscale but downsize version of Daiso. I still prefer paying $2 for anything and everything! Since I was there I had to buy something simply for the sake of buying so I left with some stuff from Heroine, cosmetic sponges, cooling pad for fever (finally found suitable for adult ones). They had limited floor space. So it almost seemed like they were trying to fit in as many categories as possible but sacrificing variety in the process. But something positive to take away from this is it will probably drive traffic to Orchard Central for quite awhile, till the novelty eventually dies down. After that let's hope they have enough exclusivity to sustain interest from the crowd. I was there just to jump in on the bandwagon so I didn't scrutinize their prices or items. Would I go back again? Probably if I'm bored in the middle of the night and wanna do some late night shopping for miscellaneous cosmetic items. Maybe those who have been there can do a MUST BUY ITEM list that can only be found at Don Don Donki. P/s: I saw Cynthia Koh over there! The Mediacorp artiste.

BabyBlade Internal Moderator December 5, 2017 Author Share December 5, 2017 Where to park if decide to go during midnight? You can park at the alley behind Ice Cold Beer. There are some parallel lots. After you exit CTE Cairnhill, make a left turn into an alley just before the main cross junction towards Cineleisure and 313.

DACH Supersonic December 5, 2017 Share December 5, 2017 I agree. Total floor space not very big. Cramped feeling. The problem is both floors are separated. I cannot bring up the things I buy at the lower floor to the upper floor and vice versa. I have to pay at the cashier for the merchandise sold in that floor before I can go up and buy the other things in the upper floor. That means I have to queue for two times at the cashier. Not very efficient. ↡ Advertisement
