Am adding information piecemeal here.

One day should compile them into a single list.

1. L&K Superb comes with headlights washer. It's not listed in the brochure.

2. Superb and the Octavia (and probably the other models as well) uses this Mann Filter. FP 26 009. This particular variant comes with a layer which inhibits the growth of bacteria. It's one level above the usual filters with Charcoal inserts. It cost SGD $28.39 from Amazon Prime (Ships from US) but there is a $10.85 delivery fee unless you manage to squeeze in $60SGD worth of purchase. Silly thing is that it limits to 1 per order! Alternatively, purchasing from Amazon US will cost you USD $39 + 7.63 shipping which is about $65 SGD. Not sure how much stockist sells the filters here.

Good point! One of the key reasons why the vRS is attractive is the bhp/$. If the cost goes up, potential buyers would have other choices

I don't feel that way for example, they could load the vRS with more stuff to make it more attractive bringing the OMV to Superb L&K range

For the price of ard 150k for 245 horses and loads of equipment, it still holds an unbeatable value in this segment

What I would suggest is to bring in 2 different trims for the vRS just like what they did with the Superb, (Ambition Plus and L&K) everything under the hood is the exact same just that you get more stuff in the interior for the L&K

This will attract both groups of potential buyers who want more stuff in their car and those who enjoy the 130k price tag

What colour did you get? Waiting for your FR to compare notes.

IMO it makes no difference for me whether to look at it from the instrument cluster or from a separated LED/LCD screen.

You will find out once you really have one.

BTW, my current ride (Audi) has virtual cockpit and I kinda regret paying for it. Most of the time, I use Google Maps for navigation (can show traffic conditions). The VC is only for showing off to people around me.

Can use android auto for google maps, and when iOS12 is out, can also use Waze and g.maps.

For me the VC was definitely must have, I waited for the current generation of the A3 series before jumping into it..

The problem with VC is that it is not possible to display Android Auto/Apple Carplay interface on the instrument cluster.

You can only display it on the MMI screen in the middle of the dashboard.

The saving grace is that you can search for your destination from Google Earth online database (which comes with MMI; just need a data sim) and display the Google Earth map on the instrument cluster.

nope, plus I don't think potential buyers for the A3 would want to add the VC.

Adding the VC means adding the MMI Navigation Plus with MMI Touch and Audi Phone Box with wireless charging

In Singapore where the A3 is aimed at badge conscious customer on a tight budget, I don't think it will be viable here

The new Fabia Estate Ambition with 1.0TSI 85BHP mated to 7speed DSG cost MSRP 374,900 CZK (23K SGD)

Fabia Ambition with 1.0TSI 85BHP mated to 7speed DSG cost MSRP 374,900 CZK (22.1K SGD)

If SCS is willing to bring this in and pricing this very competitively, this could potentially steal sales from Kia, hyundai, honda, and suzuki

Since their potential customers are looking at cars priced ard 80k

The practicality of the fabia estate is unquestionable, I personally drove the previous gen with 3 other passengers and 3 large luggage going at 130-160 km/hr

I don't think Vagcom can enable VIM. Heard obd11 can do so but I don't have that.

I can help with Vagcom but I have to work out my schedule.

Some other findings;

1. I can enable drive mode indicator on the MFD. The selection will appear on MFD when the button is pressed.

2. Columbus comes with postal code search which is good.

3. Skoda oneapp works with Columbus. You need connect via wifi.

4. If you have a scangauge, you can see the boost readings. You can't do so on the S2.

When I have time, I will write a more detailed review.

I thought short bonnets belong to the FD civics. The bonnet lift up to expose such a small space to access the engine. Lol.

I am using Columbus but I cannot find postal code search. Did you enable it with vag com too?
