daehan 2nd Gear March 22, 2018 Share March 22, 2018 Weird that Skoda did not contact existing Skoda owners to attend this launch. I'm sure they could have easily gotten the existing Skoda owners database from LTA etc.
Rcaero 1st Gear March 22, 2018 Share March 22, 2018 Hopefully there will be some discount on the list prices. Anyone has any idea on the combi/estate price options?
Othello Supersonic March 22, 2018 Share March 22, 2018 Hopefully there will be some discount on the list prices. Anyone has any idea on the combi/estate price options? For now only 4 models. I even suspect that range might be limited. VCS seems to want to complement VW with Skoda, not compete
RenOpel 1st Gear March 22, 2018 Share March 22, 2018 Thank you for the photos and the price information. I'm really glad they brought in the Octavia 1.0 Tsi. However, I think that they have set the prices too high. I was expecting something closer to the Korean car prices, and significantly less than the Golf or Polo. So this dampens my excitement a little bit. BUT, still, the Octavia and Rapid are worth considering.

The price for Octavia is about the price of the Korean Elantra elite model I bought in end 2016 when COE Cat A was 50k.
RenOpel 1st Gear March 22, 2018 Share March 22, 2018 Thanks for your response. With the COE at $38K - $40K the price should be quite a bit lower than $109k for the Octavia. I believe the Elantra is now well under $100K. The new i30 1.4 turbo is now under $90K.

RenOpel 1st Gear March 22, 2018 Share March 22, 2018 Just checked the VW website, and the Golf 1.0 TSi is going for $111K. If the Elantra is about $90K, the Octavia should be about midpoint between the 2, around $100K or maybe just under. It will be interesting to see what the launch offers are like! Cybersurf 1st Gear March 22, 2018 Share March 22, 2018 (edited) Though CO2 less than 160, still kenna C1 banding. Looks like HC, CO or NO2 don't meet the mark. But seemed that showrooms in general don't show HC, CO or NO2 numbers. By the way, website is up! https://www.skoda.com.sg/models Edited March 22, 2018 by Cybersurf

I'm sure they could have easily gotten the existing Skoda owners database from LTA etc. It’ll be weirded if Skoda can get owners personal particulars from LTA. I’m sure you have easily gotten it wrong. If personal particulars can be taken from LTA, we’ll be swamped with endless marketing phone calls, letters, emails from car dealers, accessories shop, workshops servicing your car brand, car exporters calling you when your car reaching 10 years old ........and so on and so on....... ↡ Advertisement
