But the prices nowadays are really crazy. I got my 1 year old Superb just 1 year 4 months ago at only 12.5k annual depre, comparing to about 20k now if brand new. Almost half price! And that is just over a time difference of 1 year 4 months.

Yah when I got my 1 year old Superb 1 year 4 months ago, what made me clinched the deal was that its annual depreciation was about 12.5k when those used Superbs on sgcarmarts were trading at > 14k. And brand new Superbs were at about 18k depreciation just before they were taken off by the AD. To me, a good deal for a used ride is when I can get it at a significantly lower depreciation than used ride of similar condition. Better would be if they are very significantly lower than brand new ones.

Contrary to some, I do not used parf value to decide a ride is worth getting as it is not logical. For info, lower parf rides nowadays are those with better fuel economy or cleaner cars when gov provide some rebates, so owners will get lesser residual values when scrapping the cars. It does not mean cars with lower parf are not worth getting. Higher parf cars generally means they cost more, so we can expect to sell at higher values as used ride subsequently. Same thinking for those rides with lower parf. But we could still get good deals even if parf are low, as in the Octavia promotion right now where brand new rides are with similar depreciation as 2 year old used rides. Of course you buy low, do not expect to sell high next time lah. Just good to know we are not subjectively getting chop carrot when we decide to go ahead to get it. Just my more scientific method when buying used rides haha.

Puzzled on the point of sharing "sales" here without any hyperlinks or contact to sign up. Not even any effort by Skoda AD to publish this sale online either. 🙄

Recall tat audi private sale did had advertising on social media prior to the sale.

Hi

Attached is the Image of mileage achieved travelling from Changi airport back to CCK.  I'm pleasantly surprised to achieve 20 km/l by my superb 2l.

PS. Hope I am able to upload the image. First time posting it.

Even with 75k discounts, it may not be the ideal time to get..

I suppose negotiating on price will be easier since it’s the showroom piece. Should be at rental biz price

Issues? You first time using? Or never had used it until now?

CC is universal across all cars regardless of brand and models. After so many years of driving I never had to relearn using the cc function across different cars. Difference now is added features like adaptive cc. Other than that nothing really difficult to use on the cc function.

Oops I meant that my CC is malfunctioning. Sometimes it works, sometimes it can't be activated. Not sure if it's electronics problem, will see what SCS diagnoses.

I know one of the vagcom tweaks will render CC useless. But if you have not touched that, then check under warranty.

Because this is just AD adding black wrap/trim and selling as such. Not technically a special version from Skoda itself.
