If you want to buy the Stinger, go and get the 3.3L V6 twin turbo.. The 2.0L turbo is not bad, I test drove it myself, but at the end I end up with RS245 (cheaper, more spacious and based on my butt-o-meter it is faster).

Although on paper the Stinger 2.0L is faster than RS245 and Superb, but based on some independent test by Autocar UK, it did not even close to the claimed timing (https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/kia/stinger/performance). The Hyundai i30N has the same engine with the same tuning, lighter and has the manual transmission, but it only manages 0-100 in 6.4 secs, compared to Stinger 2.0 (which is heavier and comes with a conventional auto transmission) 6.0 secs claimed timing.

Don't get me wrong, I like the Stinger.. but like I wrote earlier, get the 3.3L version and forget the 2.0L version.

Hi

when did u get your RS245?

Any problems so far?

What the actual FC like?

Did u do any tuning to the car?

What rims & tyres profile did they give u?

It is a diagnostic tool that VW service centre charges you 134 dollars an hour (inclusive gst) to use, whenever you bring it in for servicing.

It is the software that you interface "the set of wires" to.

Hang on a minute.  With $134, can't I buy many OBD11s that can help me (i) turn off the start/stop function permanently; and (ii) enable the closed circulation for aircon?

I find myself having to do that by habit nowadays but I just wish Skoda - being simply clever - would have allowed some basic configuration for the car.  Afterall, not everyone like Start/Stop in our hot weather, and not everyone likes breathing in exhaust gases.

Rhetorical question. Charging $134/hr for VCDS (per Bro Adrian) is more than the price of an OBD11 which you can use and reuse.

Maybe I will stick to toggling the buttons manually like many other Bros

Signed the paper on July, received the car in September.

So far no problem, the FC varies...My first full tank gives 1:9 km.. My last top up I managed 1:12 km.

No engine tuning yet, only change the air filter to K&N.

Rims are the standard 19 inch with Pirelli P-Zero 225/35

Odb11 need to buy credit for certain options so not a one time deal

Ya, I been reading this thread everyday.

Been looking at an octavia vrs/rs since 6 years ago. Wanted to get one 4 years ago but no ad. Wish SCS had come in sooner.

Now more matured, looking at superb. I wonder will we get the sportline version as seen in other countries. I especially like the blacked trims instead of chrome.

Skoda really getting attention! Page 200 liao!

Ordered end october, delivered early december

Yes, the cup holders do not hold standard tumblers, missing an ice scraper on the fuel flap.

So far about 550km before the red line, on a 50l tank.

Does it need anymore tuning?

Skoda gemini, 225/40/18.

I also prefer the black trim.

Maybe they can have a black trimmed L&k, that would be sick

The APR website says this car can be tuned further.

A lot of gains just by stage 1 alone.

But not sure if the stock brakes can control the stage 1 or not. haha.
