Audi does a better job at interior design. If u strip logo, still recognizable :)

They better do a better job otherwise how to justify the big price gap

U need do a brand new blind test in a brand new interior that is not revealed before in order to have a fair and objective result.

Sometimes branded cars cost more not because they are better, but because of their brand equity.

But everyone has different criteria so it's ok.

Just watched the video. Nice one there!

It's like the Stinger. It's a handsome car until people find out it's a Kia and they then go Chey!

Silly video for the super noobs.

Can't blame them. It's like you show me different ladies shoes, I can't tell the difference between a Louboutin or a Charles & Keith.

1) any shops dealing with vag cars can do a skoda, parts are shared across the VW group. But body panels will be a pain to deal with since not common.

2) there is, if you do your search on the respective big named tuners, and study of the engine used in the RS. Because you will have plenty of time since you will wait forever for your car to come after order. I know there are 3 shops doing APR in Singapore. Basically you are paying a premium for a generic map.

3)i think it is 340,basically the biggest stock brakes in the VW inventory.

4)so far it is good enough for what you can put this car through, minus the wheel gaps.

5)lools like caractere to me.

6)it is the 7 speed wet similar to the golf r. If you do your study on this gearbox, not many golf r owners liked how the gearing is on theirs, and had it errrr tuned. So far only 1 independent tuner for this gearbox, and believe APR is collaborating with them.

Thank you for your replies!

So current situation is no stock of RS? So pay money first and wait long long? haha.

Since it comes with free servicing, is the agent workshop good? heard the old skoda agent got many complaints?

Is maintenance of Skoda cars a big problem, or just same like any other conti cars?

I dunno the stock status of RS, I am assuming it will be a long wait, just like the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and more batches to come.

Why not you visit SCS, and tell us what the SE  tells you?

The agent for skoda is SCS, if you really want to know, it is VW Singapore.

So if you send your skoda for service at agent, the agent is VW.

Now you ask why is it VW?

Because skoda is under VW, you are buying a VW under another name.

The people here will tell you skoda is more fantastic.

For me, coming from the VW background, skoda for me will always be part VW.

I have so much faith in VW, that I stopped going agent for servicing at the 30K mark, and learnt to be my own mechanic.

If you get what I mean.

Not everyone came from a VAG background.

Only those who have owned a VW in Singapore, will have an idea.

But one thing good about this is.

I learnt to be my own mechanic, diagnose my own faults, find my own fixes, and be my own 2nd, 3rd, and 4th opinion.

Actually this particular model can't be used for comparison. The Seat Exeo was essentially a rebadged A4 with minor styling modifications

Thats the whole idea isnt it?

Just like mitsubishi lancer and proton.

Hey bro,

The 1.4 Octy is a 4 cylinder single turbocharger producing 110kw (roughly 150BHP)/250nm torque, 8.2 seconds 0-100 century sprint and 5.2l/100km fuel efficiency.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I think it is the EA211 engine that produces 150bhp which is fairly new only in recent years, starting from the Golf R-line, new Tiguan 1.4, Touran 1.4 and Kodiaq 1.4, all under CAT B category. Very capable engine in my opinion.

@Ariesgoat So is the 1.4 Octy now a twin charged turbo?

Or it's just ECU tuned and all other parts remain same?

I'm just thinking. Put an Audi and a Skoda side by side.

Strip all badges and hints of the brand. Ie.. a blind test.

That's when the most objective opinion will come.

Cos subconsciously, when people know it's Audi, they will straight away feel that Audi's build quality is better.

Well Skoda Spore kind of did that earlier in 2018.

Thats for the 3.0L one, high end A6.

The base model i expect to be ard 220-250k. Can get 2 superb lol

So the point? [grin]

Haha

I think superb is in same league as audi a6 esp they have same length dimension but a6 is more upmarket with better build ALTHOUGH its more crampy and smaller boot size lol.

If based on space i think superb can go fight with s class ð¤ª

Currently there's only 3.0L for petrol and all A6C8 will be a mild hybrid.

Even if there's a 2 liter it will be a mild hybrid hence sure above 260k

Engine rated at 110kW 1.4 TSI which work out to approx 148 hp.

I based my data off the 103kw 1.4tsi

Didn't know we are getting the more HP version!

Yes you are right. Good enough power and has much more potential for tuning. Relative in malaysia has a golf r line and tuned to stage 2. On highways easily 250km/h, but still cannot catch my bro's rs4 avant... [bigcry]

Was about to sign on superb l&k trim till i saw Kia Stinger this weekend. Oh heck the power was addictive... [bounce1] Rear cabin space slightly lesser than in superb but more than enough. Boot space was also relatively large(also smaller than superb). Surprisingly good quality interior and doors close with assuring thud like superb and passat ones, not like japanese car doors. Now need scratch hard since pricing very close between two.
