Anyway I'm just very used to parking with normal mirrors so for me, there's really no need to use any blind spot mirrors/mirror tilt for parking rear in. But i admit I'm not good at parallel parking. Any other 1.4 Kodiaq owners can confirm if this is true? From what I know, you can't find the option in the infotainment system. I have also tried to set it but to no avail. This was the first thing I tried as it was available on my VW Sportsvan but not found on my Kodiaq 1.4. =( I went to check with my colleague and was told that this feature from SKODA is linked to the electric power seats (as verified by the screenshot on the Kodiaq User Manual below). So only the Kodiaq 2.0l Style has electrical front seats & this feature that comes along with it. I'm pretty sure it can't be done officially. There are some who say that they can get a 3rd party OBD tool to program it to tilt while reversing but I've done my fair share of research on online forums & have found out that it is not very reliable, so I've given up hope on this department. =) Edited September 22, 2018 by SesameStreetGuy

Initially, I've also thought that only those with electric power seats can have this mirror tilt function but apparently many told me otherwise, and that vagcom is not required.

Haha, yah, I really miss this feature from my Sportsvan. Some of my research you can also read up below. Definitely can be done by 3rd party programming... just not sure how effective it is... https://www.kodiaqforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=13758&sid=6ff83d5eb4546a3eab4042e6139335c5#p13758 https://www.kodiaqforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=12042#p12042 https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/453179-passenger-mirror-dipping-in-reverse/?do=findComment&comment=5092622

I.e you can save up to three profiles? When you turn on the ignition, you will be greeted by an option to select the profile. I know the golf comes with tilt down even though the seats are not electric.

My VW Sportsvan also had manual seats and tilt down reverse mirrors that's why I thought my Kodiaq 1.4 would have this feature too. I guess SKODA has decided to package this together with the electric seats, which is a bummer IMO...

Curious if it is stock part for overseas market or an generic after market part. One day the struts fail to lift, i can still use the big stick, so better leave it intact. Anyways, I think RS has all along been in the non-premium category, unlike how VW positions the GTI or R. Should be the same overseas, unless maybe if it's L&K octy. ↡ Advertisement
