What to look out for in Pre-loved C200 CGI ?

Looking at pre-loved 6yo C200 CGI.

 

What are some of the things to look out for in pre-owned C200 ?

 

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Just go through the usual checks for 2nd hand cars, espically in terms of leakings, rustings, mismatches of colors on the body and engine noise and vibrations.

I think it would be clearer if you can point out which C200 you are referring to.

Like the year made or picture of it.

need to check on usual leak and timing chain replacement if milage is more than 120,000km as it about time .

 

Its strange that need to replace the timing chain. Normally is the timing belt and just the chain tensioner that is required to be look at for other cars.

 

Pretty hardy car.

Better do a major servicing if u decide to buy any pre owned car, not just Merc.

 

Dealers are commonly adjusting down the odo mileage.

timing chain supposed to last a lifetime?

oil leak is common on this model, check on the gearbox, may not have gearbox issue if pervious owners

had done proper regular ATF change.

more like yes, but will be elongated. Thats why need to change the tensioner or adjust it.

 

But merc owners recommend changing it as the chain is like chao tar

Yup there is quite some info on chain enlongation and cam sprocket wear. For this engine.
