I went to Vietnam and there was no animosity to the Americans.

Not one bit and that war only ended in the 1970s.

Didn't know Ng Eng is able to say so much with so few words.

The dictation, articulated tone sounded like lky. Same era of course. 👍

think these are old laws to prevent landowners from driving people off their lands who stayed there for a long time.

Just that laws never updated lol.

A lot of their laws date back to cowboy times, when large tracts of land existed and they wanted to push people to make good use of it. Whoever makes good use of the land, help to "settle" it, has a right of ownership. Want more land? Keep going west......

Allegedly a new trend of brainless PRC pinkies going to Japan to exert dominance. 🤦‍♂️

When I travel,  I make it a point to avoid them like the plague. And speak only English.

I think this case is more unfortunate ignorance,  she didn't notice the horse is uncomfortable with the interaction.

Even the horse don't like PRC tourists. Haha.

They are generally disliked and discriminated against in many countries due to the uncouth behavior of a few, we have a few of our own as well.

Horses are majestic but can be pretty temperamental.

Once after eating at turf club, we were just at the elevated stands/gallery observing the horses train with the Turf club staff and their riders. 1 of the horses got agitated when he got nearer to us. The trainer told us to stand higher up in the stands. I think it was the color of my top or something that is agitating the horse.

During a holiday in aus. Booked one of those horse riding tours where they lead you on a long ride up and down the hills,  very nice. You basically just hold on with minimal input... auto transmission horse🤣

BUT!!!!

I kenna a horse that was lovely but I suspect had injury that pain it going downhill.

At the start,  when going down to cross a steam,  it bolted and I was lucky to hold on... the lady(fellow tourist) riding behind me shouted in fright.

On the way back,  going down a steep hill, it again bolted hard and fast down,  I had to grip part of the saddle so hard the leather strip broke. (I dared not pulled the rein in case I cause the horse to fall🥵)

The riders behind me really woke up a cold sweat.

Lesson learnt.... horses don't play play cos more dangerous than car.

And going horse riding.. NEVER be lulled into complacency. 😳

Christopher reeves was by all accounts an accomplished rider and yet his life was ruined by horse riding.

Yesterday I watched a Team GB Olympian rower interview. When she was in her mid teens. Her horse decided to gallop on a road instead of just walk over it. their metal horse shoes don't give much friction with artifical surfaces and so she fell with the horse. She said she was partly paralyzed for a year.

A lot of police videos are blacks getting shot for being incredibly violent,  stubborn and stupid.

But this interaction is different. It's like the opening of a old Hong kong movie with 叶德娴 and 劉德華 in lead. 法外情2。

The woman definitely prc background imo... maybe illegal immigrant🤔

The police also sound prc, perhaps second generation immigrant. 🤔

2 paths in life of what being an immigrant can be with very different outcomes. Perhaps its just life of anyone... including us.

As usual... the contents section is very vibrant.
