The Chinese strategy should be to weaken US alliance in Asia. When finally there is an open conflict, these countries will think twice about getting involved.

Don't think China is afraid of getting into a 1 on 1 with US in South China Sea in another few more years but it might be harder to fight against an Asian NATO.

Like in Ukraine, US can say bye bye after losing the proxy war but the Europeans will have to face Russia for next hundred years.

China unlikely want to challenge USA now... given USA withdraw all support from NATO, probably trying to redirect resources to the APAC region.

Not sure how much export ASEAN take from USA, but as long as the trade deficit aren't too big for ASEAN then unlikely USA will have tarrifs on ASEAN, particularly SG where we import more from USA than export to USA.

So USA probably want to focus more with ASEAN countries and also to challenge BRIC and BRIC+ countries.

Taiwan getting serious, about time too.

Actually, from local reports,  she married Taiwanese to get to Taiwan,  then divorce,  and bring her prc husband and family in to Taiwan. Like that also can 🤷‍♂️

Apparently a few others are in the cross hairs,  others busy removing their contents.

Wang Yi's 2nd language is Japanese and he was the Japanese ambassador earlier on in his career.

Even without the help of a translator, he would have understood the Japanese counterpart's cultural context.

Hence to be called out, implies either China is taking liberties with closed discussions, or Japan is playing scoundrel with their words, saying different things in public and private like US

Very true observations!

Wang Yi is a Japanese expert and there is no way he isn't clear eyed in this incident. Will be interesting to follow.

This is probably also the answer why china rejected all the Boeing plane (50 on the books) .... maybe the passenger volume projected 5 years ago is totally wrong.

Recently also many videos showing empty streets and buildings, not just cities, but in the vilages too, asking where all the people gone to. And all the videos are taken by locals who know its not that way in the past. Some even question if china still have a billion level population.🤔

To call a spade a spade,

Bangkok's building collapse seems to be linked to China's SOE shoddy/shady material purchase

Another hit on Belt and road by their own goal.

Perhaps the culpable ones could be sentenced to death.

Hope west and Human rights people don't KPKB, but I'll be surprised if they do, because yea, double standards

Big losers USA, Russia, China.
