Hi MCFers,

 

I am here to announce another piece of good news to all of you. On top of having the Threads of the Month Contest, we will be introducing the ‘Most Worthy Thread of the Month’ Contest.

 

We’re seeing some really good and quality threads/posts by some of the members here but unfortunately, they’ve come short of winning ‘TOTM’ due to popularity votes. So this is where this contest comes in. Think of it as a wildcard.

 

Let’s cut to the chase.

 

What’s deemed worthy? Must it be car related?

 

Anything under the sun. We’re not kidding. If you’re a wanderlust, it could be your own travel thread complete with pictures, advice, tips on how to travel better, cheaper, and smarter so everyone can explore the world on a budget too. 

 

If you’re a hardcore car enthusiast, which is what this forum is all about, share with members your crazy DIY fixes, modifications, latest improvisations etc. 

 

Points to note:

 

- There will only be ONE winner for Most Worthy Thread of the Month

- It will be selected by the Internal Moderators

- It is possible to win both Thread of the Month and Most Worthy Thread of the Month

- Winner will be announced by the 15th of every month

- No winner will be announced for any particular month if no threads are selected

 

 

PRIZE: $200 Petrol or NTUC Vouchers

Good idea, and kudos to bro @vratenza , fully deserved!! 

 

 

And this is MCF taking a small step in the right direction, recognizing quality and not just popularity. Hoping this will inspire more quality content to come.

Thanks to the MCF team of moderators to come up with this award! Fully agreed that there were many good threads that should have deserve proper recognition. And congratulations to @vratenza. Really appreciate your effort to have the info shared in the forum.

 

Aside to the moderators, may I suggest a little amendment to the prize for HToTM? The current prize distribution is a little discouraging to the 2nd winner. I am proposing the following minor adjustment,

 

1st: $80 vouchers (-$20)

2nd: $50 vouchers (+$20)

3rd: $20 vouchers (no change)

 

Overall, the total prize is still worth $150/mth, no changes, but more evenly distributed among the winners.

The thread is good. can see the efforts put in. Even i'm not a very DIY person also can appreciate it...

Did not expect to win anything for starting the thread (really!)  :D

 

The intention was purely to share my experience of a successful DIY after quite a bit of research on how to do it properly and safely. So don't waste the effort that already went into the research phase.

 

It is a shame that there is a lack of such threads and information in Singapore's most popular car forum, so I thought it will be something interesting to share especially for those itching to get their hands dirty on little DIY projects for their beloved rides.

 

Hope this award paves the road ahead for more interesting contents in the future!

Well noted! Let me propose to the team to change the total price from $150 to $170, first, second, and third winner all happy!
