The only positive of this feature. Show off to my colleague. See my car very high tech..Hahaha..

Alone driving...I off it most of time. The only exception..I forgotten to press that off button...hahaja

I heard from a German friend that in the next Euro standard, the Off button will no longer be available.

Hi Folks,

I'm letting go my 2.5 year old Pioneer AVH-X8750BT. Everything in good working condition.

Letting go because of change ride.

Those who wish to upgrade can PM me to offer. Thanks.

I honestly doubt the feature will cause more wear and tear and damage. Manufacturers are not stupid, they won't make products that make their cars spoil faster.

I still don't like it cos it's irritating, but other than that to me not a big deal. Just turn it off lor.

The reality is that it is a cheat feature... plus we have not had this feature for ten years yet... so we don't know what happens like 6-7 years down the road... and there's significant over-engineering to compensate for the significant wear and tear... so you're increasing cost and complexity of construction plus taking up more natural resources to save the earth? Does that last bit even make sense? With this, probability of failure of some part of the car increases... Edited by teomingern

This adapter requires the factory backup camera connector to be the 8 pin type. I don't recall there is such a factory connector on the vezel. How do you connect it? Do you have a photo of the 8 pin factory connector?

The BC29 adapter works with the Vezel Factory Camera and Pioneer AVH-x4800BS.

The quality is reduced and I do not have the options to change the camera anglese with the original head unit.

But It is better than no reverse camera.

The reduced quality, assuming you are referring to the quality of the image. Is it due to the adapter or due the poor quality of the factory camera? Is it better to replace the factory camera with aftermarket camera or is it still worthwhile to keep the factory camera?

No, when I had the original head unit in, the camera was very high quality. It is because of the adapter. I also lost the feature to change different views of the camera.

I would think it is better to replace the factory camera with an aftermarket high quality camera. The problem was I could not get one that would fit how the original was fitting.

Eventually i will locate one and swap it out, but it is not critical.

Previously you had the factory camera and the original HU, the image was high quality, can change viewing angles. If the switch to change viewing angles was on that HU, then if you change to an aftermarket HU it also must have this switch otherwise you can't change the viewing angles. If not I think you have to use a higher end adapter that has this switch. Assuming you have not tried connecting the factory camera directly to the aftermarket HU, the poor quality image may be  not be due to the adapter, it can be due to the aftermarket HU also. One thing for sure is that the factory camera is good and worth keeping I think.

Beside stepping on accs you can still do it by slightly tilt your sterling wheel. Work the same. Foot still on break.

Hi Vezel folks,

What is the typical lift span of the Vezel 1.5X original battery? I bought the car in Sep16 and recently had one of the ignition coil failure and luckily my ride was under 3 years PI warranty. The workshop manager told me it cost about $200 to replace if no warranty - wow! I wonder whether the Start-Stop feature worn out the ignition coil in such short period of time. I am concern about the battery as I drive to JB often and do not want to break down there in a remote location. BTW, what is the cost of Vezel battery and where is the best workshop for replacement? Thanks.

Mine is still going strong after 1.5 year. Original water type battery without any topups. Water levels are still fine. I guess the long journey drives are good for the battery. Car camera would sap alot of power especially if it records while parked.

You do not need a special battery for the start stop system. When the engine is stopped while at the traffic lights, all accessories are being powered by the capacitors in the boot. Not using any battery power at all. Only when capacitors are low on charge or other requirements are not met, the engine will restart. i.e, normal battery will do.

Has anyone installed an electric tail gate in their vezel?

If yes, where did you purchase?

I know Singtrade at Balestier have. Was there recently and saw them installing for Vezel and C-HR.

The cheapest way is to buy from a seller on Carousell. The electric tailgate is selling for $300 with key remote function.

You can then pay $100 at sggarage for them to install it for you.
