COE Bidding – 2nd Round of September 2017

thats why most singaporean guys who had served ns especially the army fear to go against the leadership. 18 is the age where life lessons are learnt and ingrained into the mind. At that age where those around the world go against the establishment with their version of life......we got thrown into the fire, cant say no to an order, somebody else's mistake became ours, punished for just not being to task......all these make us into the man we are now. Good or bad, its how one perceive it......i still remembered having to book out late after the sargeant accused me of answering with a bombastic language. I oni said i was engrossed with what was commanded.....kns....sargeant said 1st bookout 3 hrs later! Dont say defaulters or confinement ....i kana until desensitize liao...and all because of the others...knn!

In summary, 2 school of thought. No right or wrong lor

yes true.....my take from my ns is discipline and not giving up! I never missed any exercise except for the live grenade throwing as i was down with high fever!

Fuily agree.... Thats no good or bad.... Life is an experience anyway.... Doesnt matter one build a business or not... Life's is not measured in terms of establishment or achievements.... But the willingness to adapt and have peace....and when u look back, u will be able to laugh at it

i looked back at my ns with fondness. The friends i make, the lesson learnt, the experience gained cant be replaced.....of course it was tough but its part of the learning curve. But ask me to go through it again......not a million chance! Once in a life thing that i wont want to go through but can talk rot about it until those non-army personnel wished they were in the army.....

wah.....lucky you! I followed our storeman as an assistant after i was downgraded for my last few reservist. That time the unit was on our 11th yr cycle and were posted to PDF as 5** SIR. The man had a good life in tekong in-charge of pow and doing patrols. I kana store.....didnt sleep for 3 days sia.

Ps.....this thread should be dead and buried i hope the mods wont mind we ot and tcss.
