Anonymous Dislike function - Time for review?

Since I had been assigned to ISA, Someone may be testing the integrity of the system of anonymous.

 

Many know the like or dislike does nothing to our grocery list but more for an outlet to express.

 

As Bear had already mentioned, the system is here to stay.

 

I truly wondered why people are so uptight in a forum unless your extreme.

 

It is a place for you to be yourself no matter how childish you are or how silly even if you want to live your make believe dreams.

 

Why bring your real world stresses into forum designed to de~stress you?

 

The other problem is probably because people are afraid to be penalised or be banned. Don't be attached, if penalised don't worry come back as cockroach so what still do a decent living torturing the undertaker. If kena ban so what life does not depend on it.

 

In this forum I learn many things to change is difficult even if you are trying to correct a wrong, I was shocked to observed different opinions even if statement is false like Radx is handsome.

 

But it can be use to be training ground for you silly it may sound to improve your EQ (but definitely not IQ ~ the undertaker think I no go school ~ dinosaur then evolved to cockroach) or train your leadership skills.

 

My mantra try not to upset people who are doing good stuff, encourage them, make people happy, don't bother with people trying to score points as in the end it still stays in the forum, tragic is when there is a wrong you should voice it at least once otherwise we will never improve.

Like I say we are in the business of making people happy.

 

Yes if it makes you happy.

 

 

No if it makes you happy.

 

If anybody gives a like or dislike is his or her own opinion for any posting. How come people are instigating the reason or justification?

 

 

The question should be is it truly anonymous and if it is should it be just between moderators and admin or also to shared with inner circle non moderators.

 

People complain so much about the process of PE, can it actually happening here and people are fighting to preserve it.

 

If it is anonymous like Bear say why force others to reveal if they do or not post.

 

 

Let's sleep on it and think about it.

I must come up and say outright that I myself have used the anonymous dislike function during the early days of my forum participation when I was too hot headed and taking things too seriously. I apologize sincerely to those (not that many lah [:p] ) I have given anonymous dislike to previously.

That is not something I am particularly proud of and is hoping we can make some changes for the betterment of MCF.

 

All the while I knew it was you ........ must be you ...... :D

ha.. lets phrase it this way.. i hv repeated ad nauseam that the likes/dislikes carry no monetary weight...  

 

but if someone is going around to anonymously dislike whilst pretending to be a nice guy...  

 

then its in my opinion that guys like this with vested interests should be exposed...

 

tho i have totally no say in this..  but at least i can choose to ignore! [rolleyes]

I think these are two complete issues

 

 

Dislike a comment does not equal to dislike the person

 

 

 

Equally dislike a comment does not equal to cannot be nice to the person

 

 

I thought the dislike button is if you disagree with the particular posting

 

 

Ignore button is if you don't want anything to do with the person

lets see what info i have gleaned so far...

 

@jman888 pointed to the fact that the serial anonymous disliker could be someone who is in disagreement with you... and crucially... ALSO someone who is friendly with you in the forum

 

If its the latter... i really suspect the purpose.

Basically trolling u.

 

Fews years back I got one buddy in tkss that go around disliking everyone in tkss thread and saying "I hate you!!"

 

No harm at all but just playing.

 

Sometime don't think too much.. like and dislike mean nothing...

 

Also in reddit u don't even know if ur post is been praise or dislike.
