my 10 days trip covers only 1,400 km. no rush and no need to speed. compare to Australia or Scotland trips, distance much shorter. holiday needs time. hahaha

although my daugther took Japanese as 3rd language some 16 year ago, knowing chinese helps. google map is good as it gets updated regularly . really encounter problems, sign language helps.

I dun speak japanese. I can read Chinese, see pictures and point finger. Arigato you.

i guess it is not easy to tell between Japanese, korean or chinese. you will get people speaking to you in japanese. once you ooen your mouth, they know how to communicate with you. when you are in europe and carrying a dslr, they will think you are japanese. But nowadays, the big guns are carried by chinese hahaha

If go around 27 Nov and spend around 10 days there (latest till 12 Dec), roughly what is the temp likely to be? 

 

How much to budget for 4 adults on the trip? 

 

And if let's say want to bring elderly parents along, is it suitable? Accommodation for 6 is common or not leh?

my in laws went in early dec last year. Got snow sometimes. 

I think it's quite cold especially out of sapporo. About -10 lowest to about 5/6 deg

true, having live in singapore all my life, you sometimes just wish we have snow or cooler weather. once you are in those winter season for more than 2 weeks, you will appreciate the sun better. 

 

we are pampered and cannot get ue to hot and cold. how lucky we dont have to endure other mother nature. ponding also complain hahaha
