Cat A drop - Susuki,Chevy no euro6 cars to sell + no PHV + ghost mth + sch holiday.

Cat B crash - no Accord, no Camry, no Teana = almost no cat B models to sell. 

 

The Mazda 5 ($99,800 promo over the last 2 weekends),  Subaru Forester XT, Toyota Harrier, new E Class and 5 series have healthy sales and a  backlog to clear!

 

If cat B crashes today, Halimah will lose on the 23rd Sep.

think cat-B will be resilient until end of the year, before VES kicks in. Maz5/6 & CX5, Forester XT, XC60, Harrier Turbo all very bullish, and cost 10k/20k more next year.

I feel it will drop but won't be that much. Probably still above 40k for cat A.

 

SG Population in 2007 was about 4.4 million. Now in 2017. It is about 5.5 millions. 9 out of 10 friends that I known who bought cars during 2006 to 2007 have already either renewed the coe or trade in their old car for their new ride. Existing Car owners + upcoming new car owners. The demand for car is always there regardless how bad or weak the economy. Looking at those PI fb. So many of them willing to tie down a 10 years max loan for a car.

the 1.2T is a CAT A model. should not affect CAT B pricing. Karigon was referring to 2.0L model, which is not a common  model on the road. 

 

Yah agree with Mazda 6 but they are run rate, no more surge in booking to cause COE to go up.

 

in retrospect, there is no new models to create excitement to the rich.  The new E series W213 didnt induce much buying. The much anticipated BMW 5 series G30 launch also did not seem to capture rich men's pockets a lot.  likely CAT B will stay flat.

there is still a fairly decent amount of the w213 and g30 on the road.

Cat b will not crash IMO. Came out from misubitshi showroom this morning. Heard C&C mercy over the weekend up thier booking. So let's see
