ChaosMyth 5th Gear November 21, 2017 Share November 21, 2017 Just bought a COE euroR. Anyone still active here? I have a few questions to ask. My mileage is quite low for its age but the acceleration is pretty sluggish in the lower range. I would say there seems to be a lag but I can't pinpoint. FC has also been relatively poor clocking in around 7 to 7.5km/l. Any advice? Do note I have only been driving it for around 2 months, mostly start stop traffic in peak hours so that may also be affecting my fc. Would appreciate if you can also share any other known issues with the car or periodic wear and tear replacements I should be doing/taking note of. I have tried to google off the web but frankly nothing much can be found.

Galantspeedz Turbocharged November 21, 2017 Share November 21, 2017 used to own a CL1R, had a issue with sluggish acceleration and brought to my workshop, realised air intake loose. So this may be 1 of the reason

Carfan Neutral Newbie November 21, 2017 Share November 21, 2017 7.5km/l? I have been driving my EuroR for 11 years already since day 1 when I got it brand new. Renewed COE. Consumption about 11.5km/l. That being said, I drive most of the time on ECP with light traffic. How drastically start/stop affect consumption I am not sure. Timing belt recently changed and car is still perky as before. Still enjoying the ride a lot and loving the manual gear change.
Dynaway 1st Gear November 21, 2017 Author Share November 21, 2017 mine average between 8.3~8.6km/L seems like Shell Fuelsave 98 gives the best mileage. follow by V-Power and Caltex 98 7.5km/l? Davidklt 6th Gear November 21, 2017 Share November 21, 2017 CL7 is a classic. I miss the practicality, good looks, reliability and sporty drive. Never gave me a problem in my 6 years of ownership except for a failed alternator which I had to call the tow truck.

When i go home from work, it's only a short 4 km distance, with about 6 traffic lights and another 5 turns out from adjoining roads. If got some jams, the FC can show as low as 7.3 km/l for that trip. One Sat my girl needed to do VIA at chinese garden, and i drove her leisurely from our place at kovan. That trip yielded 15.5 km/l.

Was advised by my workshop to do throttle body cleaning and see if it improves. Which workshop do you go to by the way? mine average between 8.3~8.6km/L seems like Shell Fuelsave 98 gives the best mileage. follow by V-Power and Caltex 98 how much does it cost to replace the timing chain??
