Arogab Turbocharged March 23, 2023 Share March 23, 2023 They just going retro to survive. Haha. They should bring back the old Vitara and make it a little retro and with the 4WD specs. Can try
Jamesc Hypersonic March 23, 2023 Share March 23, 2023 As people get older getting into a low slung spot car is so difficult and getting into a tall tall SUV is so much easier. Of course handling spot car is so much better but getting older people they don't drive so fast.
Throttle2 Supersonic March 23, 2023 Share March 23, 2023 Verdict, Jimny is a car for buyers who got some money to throw. (Provided, its bought with full cash settlement, not with some miserable 7 yr hire purchase) its like paying double RRP for a particular Seiko when you can get a discount for a Citizen with a similar caliber. but its no normal Jap. Its one with more than half a century of heritage. One with true capabilities which can compete and even perform better than many of its big name counterparts in the space it is built for. Iconic enough to carry its own badge high and simple enough to be easily maintained its like the ever endearing girl next door, the cute adorable yet sincerely friendly one. No, it isnt the trophy girlfriend in the tight bodycon dress which makes other boys drool. But its no matter what, the looker which will turn all heads at the traffic light stop. Last but not least, the Jimny is like a comforting friend whom you can rely on, not to flex on you, not to leave you when you most need a helping hand and never looking for big treats and favors in return. So for me the Jimny is a buy, if you are the kind of guy who doesnt need to get nods for his decision. The guy who can call his own shots and the guy who can go his own way. ok now, Champion Motors, please transfer the endorsement fee into my UBS WM acct please.😎

Fun Curious is the ride very bouncy that will make occupants feel nauseous, especially the rear occupant? Noisy can hear everything around you when otr? Noisy can hear everything around you when otr? No the ride isnt bouncy at all. I think what you mean is the body roll. Obviously there is more body roll when cornering compared to cars with much lower and harder suspension. coming from a pretty low and hard SL, i adapted perfectly fine with the body roll. For a higher taller car, the body roll actually keeps it safer by keeping good contact on the ground. So i would say, the body roll is kinda fun. Very good for city driving. its noisier compared to my full leather clad and sound proof SL which uses top premium materials. its also noisier due to the box shape capturing more wind resistance. finally its noisier becos i hv to rev past 3500 rpm to get it going a bit harder. the way to keep noise levels to normal is not to whack the car, drive relax and allow it to pick up on its own pace. maybe i was expecting too much after years of driving sports premium continentals all above 300bhp. to be fair, the Jimny was up to my expectations. Just much pricier than other CatA But theres always a price to pay for style/heritage/yada yada…😂😁 It is in a class of its own. Truly…. A few videos talked about this bouncing chassis. You can literally shake the car when stationally with your fingers. Below is 1 of them but unfortunately is in mandarin. But overall it is really not for every family. There is still a need for regular car to run all the errands as this car is too tiny to serve those famiies with more than 1 kid, more worse if grand parents involved. Only those with 2 or more cars should consider. I am enticed very frankly. My wife might kill me for sure if i am to go ahead haha. The video below really interesting. Can go chiong JB on weekends. Jimny is a ladder frame chassis similar to pickup. Rather than bouncy, it is wobbly. Likely due to its weight.
Throttle2 Supersonic March 28, 2023 Share March 28, 2023 @Heartlander i see i see. yes the suspension is soft to tackle all the off road requirements , so when stationary, you can shake it when the car is in motion, there isnt any feeling of bounce becos the suspension absorbs the road irregilarities. feels just like any normal car. Only the cornering, as mentioned, there is more room in suspension for body roll.
Throttle2 Supersonic March 28, 2023 Share March 28, 2023 As mentioned, Jimny is not a car to buy if you dont hv some money at least to throw. for that kind of money, you can get many other cars, but none of them in the same category. its a toy, a plaything. Not practical. 2 door, 4 seater but no boot. Slow and basic. everyone secretly wishes he could get one, but only a handful truly can and will. 😁😎

Normally a bouncy or wobbly car would make occupants nauseous as the car would shake according to road imperfdctions. Another query i am curious is regarding steering control. When in motion the steering wheel i understand can turn abit left or righ and yet the car will not change direction at all. But in that case how the car knows you genuinely want to change direction, by turning the wheel alot more? Is it more dangerous as need more reaction time? Is driving this car any different fr ur other rides in this aspect?

Likely due to the weight different. Pickup usually weighs more than 2 tonne. Jimny weighs about 1.1 tonne. ↡ Advertisement
