Do the negative side first and then the positive. Wait a couple of minutes before putting them back. Connect positive first then negative.

It's all about going ' green ' with these extended servicing intervals.Engine oil is cheap - the engine is NOT.

Change another key fob battery. 

Chances are it may be a lemon piece. If its not, keep it for next use.
