Porker Turbocharged July 25, 2018 Share July 25, 2018 Actually I dunno. Think about 55 days. 20 June to 15 august (16 August if you wanna be anal as I land in changi airport after midnight). Good job! Hope you enjoy this trip. I've done round the world twice averaging 60 days each trip. It was really fun and eye opening. You should try North Africa the next time. I missed Russia in both trips and will have to make up for it eventually. ↡ Advertisement
Lala81 Hypersonic July 25, 2018 Share July 25, 2018 your friend in charlottesville? It's only famous for the white supremacist march last year True in a sense. Cos in Russia basically I sprinted through from Beijing to Paris with stops in irkutsk and Moscow. Hahaha I wanna spend more time in English speaking country. In hindsight seeing the beautiful girls in Russia........ Individual stops are more or less the same.Seoul - 2 days 1 nightFerry - 2 days 1 nightBeijing - 4 days 4 nightsIrkutsk - 4 days 3 nightsMoscow - 4 days 3 nightsNew york- 4 days 4 nightsCharlottesville - 5 days 4 nightsChicago - 2 days 2 nightsLas Vegas should be 4 days 3 nights but I might wing it a little so not sure.I just did some calculations. Based on at this present moment, my expenditure so far is about $8000 dollars all inclusive of visas, air tickets, trans siberian, spending money and accommodation. I think my total expenditure should not go beyond $11000 unless I go crazy like rent a car from seattle to Los Angeles (I am renting a car in Las Vegas and it will add another few hundred dollars to my expenditure).I will spend about 26 days in USA - 13 July - 8 AugIn comparison - Seoul to Paris is 23 days - 20 June - 13 July.Japan - 7 days - 9-15 AugustYou will see some of the time the number of days and nights are the same. These are situations when I arrived at the city at night. Chicago is a little bit different cos I arrived at night and am leaving tonight at midnight.
Philipkee Twincharged July 25, 2018 Author Share July 25, 2018 Good job! Hope you enjoy this trip. I've done round the world twice averaging 60 days each trip. It was really fun and eye opening. You should try North Africa the next time. I missed Russia in both trips and will have to make up for it eventually. I had two extended vacations before. 2004 - can't remember the dates but it was third day Chinese new year to good Friday. 80 plus days. Went to Netherlands, Finland and israel but spent the bulk of my time in Israel as I was a volunteer in their kibbutz. Now. Not sure if there will be a third such vacation.....

Philipkee Twincharged July 28, 2018 Author Share July 28, 2018 (edited) Yesterday I went to Kingman in Arizona to look at Route 66, or what is left of it and went on a road trip to four corner's monument. Four corners monument is not on GPS so I had to agar agar and click on the spot where the four states meet to get the directions. Parts of Route 66 My route trip with the car. Four corners monument Technically, I am in two states at the same time With regards to the road trip to four corners monument, it was over 7 hours of driving one way and I was the only driver. OMG. I almost thought I would not make it because going there took the better much of the day and I came back when it was starting to get dark and in USA, there are not that many streetlights on the interstate. I wanted to stay at a motel to spend the night instead but I was quoted a rate of USD 100+ per night for the cheapest motel in the cheapest room so I say, never mind, I will drive. Let's say it was an experience. Edited July 28, 2018 by Philipkee
Philipkee Twincharged July 29, 2018 Author Share July 29, 2018 (edited) Since I was in Las Vegas, thought I would check out the aliens since I was near Area 51. For some reason it's not on GPS. Had to do detective work. ET highway I admit I got a little freaked when I saw this sign. My car is topped up with petrol but still..... Some scenery with my car The famous alien Inn A sign for the famous alien burger The actual alien burger I returned my car liao. Next steps are already known and confirmed cos I don't have the time to wing much. It's seattle, Los Angeles and japan. OK. I might still wing it in Japan. After that it's back to real life. Philipkee Twincharged July 30, 2018 Author Share July 30, 2018 (edited) So I was waiting for my greyhound bus to go to seattle. I picked the night bus so I have time to tour the strip proper. So I asked around. Any place to eat for a hungry man like me? I said no thanks. So I asked around if there are porn stars around doing porn I said no. I want porn for someone like me. Must have eye candy. I was brought to meet chum Lee at his candy store :December Then I asked around. I am from MCF. My Car Forum in Singapore. Anywhere I can go? Actually tot of putting this in the thread "guess the car". See if go good picture with no clue on what the car is And I asked around. I feel horny. Where can I go? Since I am in LV, some obligatory hotel shots I admit I never spent much time there but I did go into the casino to enjoy the free aircon....... At night the ladies dress like......... but I never took pics. It is really NSFW ++++ lol Now on the way to seattle. A five hour layover at greyhound at salt Lake City so just walking around now. Got time to post hahaha Edited July 30, 2018 by Philipkee

Philipkee Twincharged July 30, 2018 Author Share July 30, 2018 bro, can share how many bag/luggage you carry along? how do you carry and look after the bag while travelling on long haul buses and trains? and when you explore a city/town where do you keep the bag/luggage before check in to hotel? I carry one small day bag and one suitcase. Just carry lor. If I need to secure the suitcase for a short while like in a moving bus, boat or when I go toilet, the bicycle lock comes on handy. It's combination lock also so no need to worry about key. When I explore city I usually leave suitcase in the hostel but I secure it if possible with the bicycle lock. Normally just the day pack but if I don't feel like carrying it, i secure the day pack to the suitcase which is secured to my bed (lock is long enough). But if like now, one a five hour layover in salt Lake City then I carry everything. So a suitcase helps cos I can just roll it along the road.
Adrianli Hypersonic July 30, 2018 Share July 30, 2018 Wow. I actually love watching Pawn Stars and Count Customs!!! I recognise both the bearded knowledge guy and Chum Lee. Philipkee Twincharged July 31, 2018 Author Share July 31, 2018 (edited) Wow. I actually love watching Pawn Stars and Count Customs!!! I recognise both the bearded knowledge guy and Chum Lee. Chum Lee looks skinnier than on tv! Do you have to pay to visit Count Customs car gallery? It's all free. Only thing is cos chum Lee owns a candy store and there is a long queue of people lining up to go in, and the store is small, it is kind of like you should buy something inside. I bought a chocolate bar for $3 and it ended up being my lunch.... Counts Kustoms tours are free but of cos restricted to where you can go. You can go to the display area but not the workshop. I heard they used to allow that but people keep getting injured while walking there while touching the equipment so they stopped it. Oh and a bit wasted cos I went on Sunday. The man told me Danny and the rest don't work on Sundays (yea, they have their off days on weekends) but I left las Vegas already.... Oh and insider info is that what you see on the show is real as in their real life personas are the same as what you see on TV. They did not act just for the cameras. Correction on the free tour. There is a PAID tour but I dunno what they show cos it was free on weekends when I went so I never asked about the paid tour if it covers more. One more tidbit. If you see some of my photos you see there is a curtain behind the display cars. It is actually covering up a workshop. That is where the action is and of cos I am not allowed to even peek inside. It leads to the garage door where in the tv show Danny will shout to bring the vehicle out. Edited July 31, 2018 by Philipkee
Philipkee Twincharged July 31, 2018 Author Share July 31, 2018 Salt Lake City reminds me of charlottesville and adelaide. It's Monday morning and the streets are so quiet. Many shops do not open until 1000 or 1100. Now in Seattle Remembering the Nisei. They are Americans of Japanese descent who were interned after the pearl harbour attacks. Many of them went on to serve the American forces in Europe. Some of the streets of Seattle remind me of San Francisco. And my accommodation.
Philipkee Twincharged August 2, 2018 Author Share August 2, 2018 Basically went to the pike fish market today and walked along the shoreline. I cannot say it's by the sea side cos the location of seattle is such that one side faces the Pacific ocean and one side faces lake Washington. Pike fish market Fish throwing. I couldn't get a good picture of the fish throwing cos it's so fast and the camera could not focus on it when the fish is in midair. End up in took a video but I could not upload it on Mcf so I took a screenshot of the video. :Do Facing the Pacific ocean Facing lake Washington. Tomorrow I aim to go to museums but weather forecast says it might rain so it's really see how.

Philipkee Twincharged August 4, 2018 Author Share August 4, 2018 Took the subway today. Did not realise that subways and bus can run together underground. Maybe an idea for our transport ministry when they start digging for the next round of mrt construction. Run bus during off peak hour and mrt during peak hour..... ↡ Advertisement
