Hamburger Hypersonic April 12, 2018 Share April 12, 2018 Quite true. If that one had gone in, anything could happen in 2nd half. But among 'anything', it could well have been City sensed blood so go all out to get the 3rd goal, leaving more doors opened at the rear, and we could have put in a few too... And i watched the condensed version of the match last night. When Mane and Otamendi went in to the challenge 50-50 early in the match, Mane's leg was slightly raised and caught Otamendi, and deservedly got a yellow. But i feel the referee was lenient towards Ederson, who used both his hands to shove Mane i think 3 times. To me, raising hands is a red card offence, no question about it. If Buffon can be red carded without raising his hand, Ederson should be considered very luck to get only a yellow. I remember many moons ago, Reina used his hands to do something similar only once to the diving cheat called Robben, and that guy fell to the ground with a double reverse somersault that would have scored a 9.5 in olympic diving competition (bettered maybe only by Rivaldo's antics in that WC match...), and Reina was given a red. If Mane had emulated that and rolled on the ground a couple of times on the first touch, maybe the score line would be much bigger... But that's not Klopp's nor LFC style lah... In that sense, i think City was also lucky on the night. Mane was pretty cooled headed when pushed 3 times by the overreacted keeper. Not a easy feast there. not to mention otimenti theatrical acting that could have nominated for BEST supporting cast actor. i feel the pain for juventus team and fans alike. ↡ Advertisement
Joseph22 Turbocharged April 12, 2018 Share April 12, 2018 Maybe he said something that triggered it. Seems that the red decision was quite fast. Anyway, to me its a penalty. Always a high risk to try to clear the ball from behind a player. At this stage, meet who also the same. All very strong. Yes it’s a penalty no doubt. But the red card is harsh. And seems intended. A red card guarantee a lesser keeper will take over. Quite true. If that one had gone in, anything could happen in 2nd half. Yah, everyone also trying to exaggerate one lah... KDB, sterling, you name it. And indeed Mane handled it well. With so many yellows, got risk of suspension coming up or not huh? Yah, Buffon deserves better... Yes it’s a penalty no doubt. But the red card is harsh. And seems intended. A red card guarantee a lesser keeper will take over. He didn’t even raise his hand. Atrecord Supersonic April 12, 2018 Share April 12, 2018 if Mane "suddenly leg cramp" and fall to the floor when Ederson pushed him.... Ederson will get a red for sure Was surprised nothing was mentioned about this in all the reports/reviews, etc. if i didn't watch the replay, i wouldn't have known too... I think Mane was trying to not be too hated by City fans, so stayed up and took it calmly lah... he hit a hat trick against them before joining us, then that accident that caught Ederson's face, plus scoring against them in 2 matches already this season... if stoop so low to playact and get him sent off, worried cannot leave the stadium
Raymondism Twincharged April 12, 2018 Share April 12, 2018 We need to be realistic. We can't match city/chelsea/barca/RM on wage package. I see we are more likely gear toward uncover and buy meilor/ox type of player and improve them. Bench will be stronger than outfield players. Rafa did said that he want every position to have at least two players competing. we should try to sell players like Salah to big club at 200M and then hope he under-perform there then buy him back at cut price deal meanwhile use the money to sign new promising players... they can treat liverpool as spring board... no problem... Do it until we are winning the league again... and competing in UCL every season btw is PC doing well in Barca?

Cannot lah.. we have to get pass the “selling” club tag.. we need to move on from a “stepping stone” club to a team that will attract the best talent to play for us. Klopp is building something special here and we need to build from here.

Maxus-MIFA9 Supersonic April 12, 2018 Share April 12, 2018 if Pool meet Roma then at least one of them will be in the finals.
Kopites Supersonic April 12, 2018 Share April 12, 2018 I donât think Buffon warrant a red card though.Red card a bit overboard. A yellow more valid. As for penalty...50/50. English referee surely give. We seem them given out in premier league. Other league 50/50. So consider suay..English referee. After so much hard work must be devastating. Othello Supersonic April 12, 2018 Share April 12, 2018 actually red card is overdue. How many times we see players surrounding and haranguing refs like that. Whether ref cock up is besides the point. Buffon is Italy & Juve Capt, the more he should keep his emotions in check. Instead he led them in this ...... I think soccer is the only sport that lets the players abuse the referees verbally ..... You do that in Basketball you are out of the game
kdash Supersonic April 12, 2018 Share April 12, 2018 Errrrrrr............. Cannot be both in final when both meet in semi-final ... One definitely a winner to advance ... what i mean is that hopefully at least we will get to see either Pool or Roma in the finals, rather than RM vs Bayern.. we should try to sell players like Salah to big club at 200M and then hope he under-perform there then buy him back at cut price deal meanwhile use the money to sign new promising players... they can treat liverpool as spring board... no problem... What about the 2nd minute goal which was caused by Rahem poss fouling VVD? If a foul was called, there would not be any 1st goal. So that is football. You got some lucks some of the time. Referee is king. make or break a game.
