why not? the players will join based on wat the team offer them. if all good players don wanna b backup...how do u tink man c n chelsea got all the gd players? gd players n diva-like players r different. Gd players can join a team full of stars, challenging themselves to b even better n get that 1st team spot. diva players r those who joins only if they r guaranteed 1st teamer.

We can't match city and Chelsea in the pay structure to have a bench full of quality backup.

I am still trying to digest the different between good and diva-like players so as to demand first teamer.

Sturiddge should be under diva-like player? He want first team action.

I am more gear twoward seeing another midfield player that can score 10/15plus goal per season. Any time tactic can be alter rather than relying heavily on our current front 3 for next season. Next season it will get even more difficult in premier league with teams coping to deal with our counter acting forwards. PC left mid season. So technically speaking our current front 3 are new combination.

We need a bench with quality. Even players of aguero pedigree sit on the bench sometimes.

We need to be realistic. We can't match city/chelsea/barca/RM on wage package.

I see we are more likely gear toward uncover and buy meilor/ox type of player and improve them.

I have a ideal of how to strengthen our bench. We bench all our star player.ðð»

Bench will be stronger than outfield players.

Rafa did said that he want every position to have at least two players competing.

That’s what every manager wanted. 2 world class of each position. Rafa did manage to have almost 2 in every position on the year we challenge for title.

The strange thing is after that season, those bench one suddenly don’t catch up with the first team.

Back to the mancity game, i believe the turning point was when city was denied the 2nd goal.

Things could have been very different if it went in or the other one that struck the pole.  [sweatdrop]

From King to alonso to stevie we are used to having a midfield that can contribute 15plus goals.

Your team man u did have Cantona, Bryan etc. back then.

imo Gerrard and Lampard were the ultimate midfield scorers in recent times... Scholes used to score more but played deeper later in his career.

currently the only high scoring midfielder in EPL is probably KDB and Alli before his goal drought. was hoping for Pogba to score more though...

Turbocharged

Semi-finalists are,

Liverpool

Roma

Bayern Munich &

Real Madrid.

On paper, Roma appears to be the “weakest” of the 4, but they just beat Barca.

Over 2 legs, we are capable of beating anyone.

Eagerly awaiting this Friday’s draw.

I donât think Buffon warrant a red card though.

Maybe he said something that triggered it. Seems that the red decision was quite fast.

Anyway, to me its a penalty. Always a high risk to try to clear the ball from behind a player.

Bayern may not be a bad opponent as klopp is very familiar with them.

At this stage, meet who also the same. All very strong.

Quite true. If that one had gone in, anything could happen in 2nd half.

But among 'anything', it could well have been City sensed blood so go all out to get the 3rd goal, leaving more doors opened at the rear, and we could have put in a few too...  [laugh]

And i watched the condensed version of the match last night.

When Mane and Otamendi went in to the challenge 50-50 early in the match, Mane's leg was slightly raised and caught Otamendi, and deservedly got a yellow.

But i feel the referee was lenient towards Ederson, who used both his hands to shove Mane i think 3 times. To me, raising hands is a red card offence, no question about it. If Buffon can be red carded without raising his hand, Ederson should be considered very luck to get only a yellow.

I remember many moons ago, Reina used his hands to do something similar only once to the diving cheat called Robben, and that guy fell to the ground with a double reverse somersault that would have scored a 9.5 in olympic diving competition (bettered maybe only by Rivaldo's antics in that WC match...), and Reina was given a red.

If Mane had emulated that and rolled on the ground a couple of times on the first touch, maybe the score line would be much bigger... But that's not Klopp's nor LFC style lah...

In that sense, i think City was also lucky on the night.
