2 benefit of PHEV:

1. Bigger battery;

2. Charge from wall socket.  It is either 220v or EV charging station.  Need to do the setting in idrive.

So not like Toyota Hybrid.?Engine cannot charge the Battery.?Then is useless.!

Electronics and German cars = recipe for disaster...:grin:

no wonder EV cars sales like dropping off a cliff....and 2nd hand value gonna 😭....who dare to buy Tesla or EV 2nd hand now....maybe the cost of batt replacement is more than the cost of the car soon...:omg:

thus who dare to shout loudly that they have warranty. Warranty in singapore is a farce. only under the threat of a law suit or a huge fist to bang the table, else manufacturers will drag out the repairs and make you suffer. then you finally cannot take it and rid the car and then it is someone elses problem.

PHEV can also be charged via engine.  it will take longer time to full due to bigger battery.

Toyota also got PHEV.  Not in Singapore

you sure that the battery degradation is linear. maybe at 300k km it drops off like a cliff. . it just takes 1-2 cells to render the car non driveable.

Who in Singapore drive 300k km in 10 years?

Unlike you, most ppl will change car by 5 or 6 year liao.

The problem with Singapore is we don't have the ppl to change those cells.

Unlikely you will face this problem.  Most battery can last up to 160k km before major degradation.

160k km in 5 years only applies to Carbon82.  Most ppl only 60k to 70k km in 5 years.

No issue with major degradation until COE expire
